Hytale will definitely overtake Minecraft: 1. Hytale will be something like Roblox, where you can create your own games, which means that you will probably be able to recreate Minecraft in Hytale. 2. Tools for creating mods, probably a very good API and real-time preview of changes. I think that after some time Hytale will become the main voxel game, or rather the engine.

I know the game is going to be a lot better compared to the cracked version I played of a demo version of it a couple years ago. But if it has any of the issues that it had, the game is dead on release. If the game still takes at least 2 more years to come out it will also be dead on arrival. The expectations the game has vs what it can logically reasonably give will not match. It has to be revolutionary, or else it is just the same as all of the other survival adventure games that are starting to over saturate the genre. I wish the game the best of luck, and I was excited for it to come out. But it is unfortunately in development hell and would have had a better life coming out as an early access game they slowly develop on.
