Middle C on the piano sounds like red (the beginning of the visible rainbow spectrum). The world's great love songs are in C-major. 32,768 hertz, when continually halved, reduces to an lower octave of 256hz: Middle C. Therefore the piezoelectric crystal resonates in red. An extremely high C-note. Music is frequency in time. This would explain why time--at least on the grand piano--begins where the rainbow commences. Probably it is also because of history, availability and economy of scale. Even if today we would find a 65536Hz crystal to be more power efficient or to be slightly smaller or slightly more precise, we would probably still stick to 32768.

ground - electrical ground, vcc - voltage source, sda - serial data, scl - serial clock - you want to just look at circuit diagrams because its basically how you would wire a lightbulb (twice)
