My takeaway is the proximity principle. I've seriously been thinking about trying to have KZbin clients because I believe I have become good at making thumbnails. I either wanna do that for channels, or I want to repurpose long form videos for podcast channels. I haven't made much money from my own channel yet but I don't have to if I can make decent money elsewhere. Then, there's no pressure. I can make what I wanna make and generate income helping someone else. If things later on down the line, that's ok too. But I need to think outside the box if I want to be successful.

I started my channel in 2016 and made almost zero dollars for the first 4 years because I didn't niche down. That being said I didn't quit. After niching down in 2020, understanding my audience, taking full responsibility for my failure and not blaming the algorithm I have averaged between $12,000 and $25,000 a month for the last 4 years on KZbin with almost zero production cost.

It's called "act as if" I quit my full time job, moved to the desert to help take care of my mom, lost my job out here so I started a KZbin. I treat it like my job, I get up in the morning and start every day at the same time, designing my video, shooting, editing and uploading then research at night. The first month was grueling trying to learn 3 editing programs that were very complex. I now found one that works. Within 5 weeks I have met my 4000 and am 150 away from 1000 subs. I upload a video every day but do take days off to play. This my new job now, if I can do it, anyone with skills or special talent or life experience can do it. At 52, I am finally living my dream but I am working my tail off every single day.

If you change out the word "work" for "play" it makes it so much more fun! I am running 3 channels, but I haven't reached any monetization just yet. Downsized to part time work so that I can concentrate more on learning this youtube and craft and uploading videos consistently. Im having a blast and learning so much along the way.

Small KZbinrs 🚨: Dont be in that 86%. Never give up and learn from your mistakes and you will see that money coming 🚀🚀
@djwavepad420Ай бұрын
As a small content creator my other KZbin channel has 5,600 subscribers and if you want to talk about Revenue I might get maybe 140 bucks every 3 or 4 months show making it on KZbin is extremely hard unless you're getting 10,000 views every single video If you're trying to make a living off the platform it's almost impossible. Every video has to get at least two or three thousand video views just to get any kind of Revenue but 86% of KZbinrs don't even make a dollar which is probably the truth

I have found that building a KZbin channel is a long process and requires extreme focus. Instead of posting random videos, hoping to be a viral sensation, we should study what makes a channel successful and implement those things, as we learn them. The best advice I have heard is “make the next video 10% better than the last one”. Sean said it best when he said “work on your dream job while you have a day job”. That is sound advice for becoming a full time KZbinr. I’m hoping to get there one day… God Bless, Sam

blowing up and becoming viral doesnt = sustainability. a lot of creators don't understand when you start you need to laydown a foundation for your future and think of it as a business that will hopefully eventually bring in money from ads/sponsors. just because your video hit 1 million views doesn't mean you can recapture that and continue it. i had a friend have a short blow up and it was a 3 part series. after that he shit the bed because no one cared for his content that werent the thing that blew him up. he got monetized from shorts and made pennies then gave up lol viral does not mean you're gonna make it on here. it's a hustle and a grind.

I would say the takeaways are 1) consistency is key 🗝 2) start a YT channel for the right reasons and with realistic expectations 3) love the niche/content you are creating, it will naturally bring consistency, ultimately this will bring #4, which is 4) to be in the top 4%, you have to be intentional and strategic.... Also, those YT stats at the beginning are eye opening... seems like most fall off the bandwagon (probably due to unrealistic expectations)!

I’m on my second YT channel now and seeing great results because although I had a clear niche the first time round, I lacked consistency and eventually gave up on the channel. Now on the second time around, I see it as an opportunity to build an audience (but most importantly a community) that rely on that consistency even though my niche has slightly changed. My mindset strategy is to treat YT as if it were my primary source of income even though it is not. This keeps me focused and dedicated to the channel even though I earn my income from my full time job. I hope that helps someone else who is growing their channel ♥️

💙💙💙I started taking KZbin seriously more after a 3 month hospital recovery. Technically I've been on KZbin over 10 years ago. But truly Niching down helps for you to figure out focus. Also well I've been suggested to make a KZbin channel after performing live for over 10 years but I just didn't have time for it or understand it. So after 3 years of recovery (I had to find something to do). I guess there's a blessing here that if this didn't happen I wouldn't have time in my world to even consider it. I've done a couple of streams attended a few online events here. And this is literally a gold mine for finally having clarity with what it all means. When I think o being younger well we just wanted to post things out there. But if you think what do people want and need from you. And what are you about and share even if you weren't making money from it you'd do it anyway. That might be your niche. And don't compare yourself. Like exercise, only you can do the reps. I'd say take breaks and be aware of burn out. For me Burn out means editing...sleepless nights and living on ramen. Taking a walk always resets. Good luck and congrats on those who've figured it out and things are moving. 💙💙💙

Any advice for someone using social media, primarily KZbin, to grow their (currently) small business? I am in a very small niche as a dog trainer specializing in “working” and sport dogs so it’s not as vast as the pet dog industry. I started my business this year and decided to start making KZbin videos to promote the business, show our training, promote the occasional puppies for sale and also the trained adult dogs for sale. It’s a specialized market and it’s not something for everyone. We have a qualification process before purchasing a dog or puppy from us so we have a specific target audience for our dogs. Should I just focus on target audience or should I focus on overall channel growth? The channel is in its very beginning stage at this moment.

@ Thanks for a very good question. Many KZbinrs said the number of subscribers doesn't matter. However, I've compared my channel with a few local channels, with similar niche, those channels with higher subscribers do have advantages, especially on notifications. If those bigger channels produce consistently, they tend to have higher views even with similar content topics. Other factors for higher views include the duration of the videos, how well the audiences love you, and how creative you present your topics.

Clear vision media 26:32 I did this too starting to showcase clients some of my video and photography and It was a great learning experience and easy way to send prospects to my work with a youtube portfolio channel but not anything built to grow or be consistent I definitely did this! But wow solid gold advice!

How much money is KZbin making off of creators content that don't get paid?

These are some really helpful tips! It's so true that being monetised does not always mean increased revenue. I got monetised in a few short weeks and although my channel is bringing in some revenue, it's not life changing amounts that 'successful' channels make. So I'm finding ways to diversify and make income beyond AdSense 🤔
