I appreciate when Kirsty provides free info on KZbin, and have gained a lot of insight. As I already watched the video linked, however, it was kinda pointless to watch this video. So it would have been nice to have something unique in this video. It didn't have to be extensive knowledge, but maybe a few bonus tips, not contained in the linked video.

My issue is that I take a very long time to make each piece even though it shouldn’t take too long, so I would raise my price to match the time taken but then that wouldn’t sell... idk, maybe it’s just practice to get quicker!

My aunt said that it became so expensive to have her paintings framed. She often would sell her paintings without a frame, but only at art fairs that were out of town. If she sold locally or at an art show, she would frame her work, as many new her as an artist. She also said that sometimes that she would sell a painting at a lower price to get rid of it. Bread and butter paintings.

The was a teen in my neighborhood who would make calligraphy name signs. Also, she would make name cards for luncheons and address envelopes. They new a lot of people at church.

I agree with this so much! Multiple revenue streams are the way to go in this time and age. Most people limit themselves when starting a career or specifically an online career to one avenue. The beauty of the age we're in is that there are endless opportunities as long as your willing to put in some extra time/work. Find the ones that fit your personality and goals and be yourself, the best you can and want to be. Thanks for another great video. ❤

I know that there’s a lot of ways to start an art career like you mentioned in the video, and first of all thank you for doing these type of content, but my question is If people you met don’t want or don’t spend money on art, where I can get my first client, how did you get yours when you started? I know there’s a lot of courses how to be organized with all parts of have a business art but never find a course how to get clients and treat them with no experience before, by the way thank your so much I really admire your content so much!

My experience is people don't want to pay for art unless it's 1) their own portrait or 2) tutorials so they can do it themselves. Kirsty makes most of her money from tutorials.

1. You have to draw with your complete dedication, 2. Then post it on your social media, this will make you get recognized 3. When people would love your work, and they'll start trusting you.. they'll ask you to draw them. 4. Then you should reply.... yeah, sure! I do commission work, so how much you gonna pay for it? 😉 5. Your client is available 6. Once you are done with your first client, you must share to it on platform so that more and more people could know that you do commission works.

I needed this. I only base on commissions and to be honest it doesn't do much. I only get commissions like once a month and doesn't doesn't pay the bills. I'm looking into other sources of income that wouldn't involve sweating for hours on end
