I bought these in the mid 80s to use in our photo lab and darkrooms. We used them as floor mats and some were used as sink mats. They were great. After the labs closed, I used them on my garage floors. They are still in excellent condition. No tears, cuts, scuffs or other marks. So after almost 40 years, just as serviceable as they were when I bought them. I clean them with a pressure washer.

But really, are they Lego compatible? That would make a good interface mechanism for sometime with a 3D printer... Not that a custom interface couldn't be designed, it would just be easier for more people to get started designing attachments. Maybe ask the manufacturer if they could offer a free 3D model for interfacing with the top so people could create drawer separators etc. maybe with slots that could allow zip ties.

I find it interesting that people will protect their concrete floor with expensive epoxy coatings or paint, then protect that coating with a product like this. Sort of like a a belt/suspenders combo. These look like a great idea for a basement work shop or laundry room.

I poured a new garage floor and debated getting it coated. What's the point if I'm just going to worry about the coating when I'm doing garage-things? I roll floor jacks and use jackstands weekly, at least, and it wouldn't last. The bare concrete is looking amazing after 4 years still.

@silvercymbal hope you read this. A long time subscriber and viewer of your channel and I do know that you have done several videos on generators and measuring the total harmonic distortion of generators. There is this one specific generator on the market from Westinghouse which is WGEN11500TFC which claims to have a very low total harmonic distortion of less than 5% but all of their other models have a very high THD. This is not an inverter generator .. And would love for you to test this generator model and confirm if it actually has a low harmonic distortion. It's got a very great price point of $1,500 and is a tri-fuel generator with a lot of power and seems to be a great choice if the claims of low THD are actually true. Would appreciate it if you could make a video or verify the claims!

Affordable?!?! The link given shows a product that it roughly $9.40 PER SQUARE FOOT! Of course unless you want to buy the 50 pack which makes it $6.70 per square foot, but considering that 50SqFt is the size of a small bathroom that doesn't do much. Lets put it into perspective, I have a small 1 car garage (not used for a car), which is 20x20 which means that it is around 400SqFt. This means that at best (meaning I bought the 50 packs x8) it could cost around $2,680 for the garage, or if I wanted to do only the center part and bring it down to 300SqFt, it would cost around $2,000. At worst, if I didn't buy the packs or bought a few at a time it would cost around $3,700. I get it, this is a quality product that last a long time and is durable, but don't fucking use the word "affordable" when talking about it, especially when most the uses you mentioned it for are found in other different types of floor products at a MUCH cheaper rate. Hell, you could buy 3/4 inch horse stall mats for for around $2.35 a SqFt. The only thing that would be different is that horse stall mats don't have holes, but they are durable, soft for standing, able to be sprayed with a hose for cleaning, and you can even drive a car on them.
