Why a GT3 RS when you have a 2010 Audi A5 TDI?

Darkside Developments threw me the keys to their slightly modified 2010 Audi A5 TDI. The result was not what I expected. There will be another video on the car alone, but this is a nice appetiser and if you want to know more, check out their pages where you can see more about the build:

This just shows how having a fast car doesn't mean you become the fastest driver. Nicely driven Misha. That 350Z going to the Fox Hole would've given me a major code brown moment but you held your cool!

The advantage of a purpose built fast car is better driving dynamics and you can be very fast with practice

This would make sense if that audi was stock .... People have to stop thinking that because you have a fast OEM car it means you can not drive, or not deserve to own such a car, there is an equal proportion of people with cheaply tuned cars that can not drive ... Be glad that the people with nice cars take them on track even with less skills behind the steering, cause I would not go to the Nurb to see only fast Polos or Subarus ....

Yes, if you actually read the list it’s nothing major, there are extensive engine modifications but nothing outside of the VaG group, coilovers and camber arms and a bushings set a gearbox cooler and remap, the rest of it is specifically saying what oil is being used, the brand of wheel bearings, which trim pieces it’s using and the brand of bushings

Great driving but "slightly modified" isnt really true.. Looked on there has been done tons of things to engine, chassis, brakes, cooling, transmission etc. (Don't want to hate or anything!) Good video!

Watched it twice! That was an excellent lap to watch, nice to see you driving and on the Ring too. Very nice car, 350bhp you said it was on Instagram, giving up a lot of power on the Pornsche's and you still kept with them in the technical corners, outstanding.

Just an awesome ringtool.. Must say, I have been thinking that balanced aero and suspension, diesel torgue and semislicks could be one way to get a real relaxed track machine that just grunts away and flies. I´m a student still - shame that I feel the window to doing something like that is sort of closing before i could execute due to the regulations and the popularity of diesel vehicles. This was very nice to see, thanks Misha! : ))

It looks so easy seeing someone drive around the ring on video, when you are driving yourself, it becomes scary af. I thought i could drive, because i'm not scared of driving on the Autobahn at high speeds, but driving on the Autobahn is nothing compared to driving on the Ring. Never felt so much lateral g forces in my life as in the Polo GTI today. And also breaking well beyond my comfort zone and going around corners at speeds you think, it's over, scares the crap out of me, but Lauren the instructor always said push, push aaaand now break, break. Can't wait to be back for a taxi ride and another round in the car.

That sounds like it has no catalytic converter or DPF. Wish I could do the same, but the emissions are horrible. Can't wait for the video on the car itself, especially the camera placement. I have a feeling I'll be adding a few things to my own A5 mod list...

Sorry for being a pedant but I got so excited... it's just cuz I own a manual A5 3.0 TDI quattro cq. Mine's not tuned however :8 This one doesn't look like it's tuned to over 300 HP though although it sounds great!. At 5:02 it doesn't even exceed 124 mph (which translates to like 200 Km/h) driving downhill at full throttle. Mine could go faster than that! More like 150 mph /250 Km/h. This is why I initially thought that this is a 2.0 TDI with some soundaktor ?:I
