ARR certainly is an asset to Tamil cinema..We are lucky enough to get an unbiased musician who loves his mother language Tamil so much .He had proved that in lotta situation and stages. 90s kids treasure is ARRahman.Even if i wander about in latest song collections I'll end up hearing ARR 90s songs.Jeans,Kadhalan,Ratchagan,Duet,Indian,May Madham ,Kadhal Desam, Kadhalar Dhinam are immortal.

Few points to add up with yours .. 1) Another example for his generosity is that he composes music even for Small budget movies and new comers.Many movies like New,Chakkarakatti,Ah Aah, Sillunu oru kadhal, got it's identity thru ARR Music. Even many crappy movies has big time album hit of ARR composition. 2))His Background music for Hollywood Movies like 127 hours ,Peeley , FIFA song ,Commonwealth Anthem and Avengers promotions were worth mentioning .Reason why ARR is a Mozart being celebrated worldwide. 3) Even dubbing songs sounds flawless in ARR music 4) Most of his fans love his generosity and modesty equally as they love his work Am a diehard Fan of A R Rahman

Listening to "Rangeela" in a DTS surround system was heaven it just took Indian music to a another level all together. When he said in Oscar Podium that ""I chose Love than Hate that is the reason I am here", that was such a rare movement in real life where someone inspired you to be a better person. There are some other albums which you missed "Uzhavan", "Delhi 6", "RDB", "Jodi" even the recent "Mamannan" was such a great album. One of my idiot friend who has his head way up his a## argued with me that ARR is a just a glorified Sound Engineer while his favourite music director is the one who created music. Very difficult to talk to this people, I just remembered ARR's quote about how music will always has loyalty and kept quiet. That is what ARR does to you.
