One of the best people on KZbin. No arrogance, no ego, no trying to be what he is not - he's genuine, which let's face it is not as wide spread as some would like you to believe! He also doesn't shove the 'I'm a better uber human than you and I know best' thing down your throat. He has tried and tested it and had amazing results himself for years now. So thank you for sharing your time and important knowledge for free.

Lisa, there is already an average fat content in most fruits and vegetables of about 5%. That's all we need for health most of the time, with the occasional extra boost of an avocado/coconut etc. Since you're focusing on super low fat atm, simply leave the overt fats out of your soup. Having a bit more than 5% fat seems to work better for most people long-term (say 6-7% overall--not per day necessarily), but at first it's good to do what you're doing and go low-fat for 1-3 months. Great job! :)

Made soup again last night... Miso style. Liquids- made sesame seed milk, and again a little carrot/celery juice (figure if I wasnt doing raw Id be using a veggie broth that would have carrot/celery in it). Flavors- leek, garlic, ginger, serrano pepper chix-pea Miso. Texture- Wakame, Sea spaghetti (sea palm) little left over r. bell pepper, and a handful home sprouted chix peas. Fat- the seasme milk. It was delish! I would love to read what other combinations other people come up w/!!

This is your first video I have watched & loved it. I have started to clean up my diet (baby steps right) & have not tried juicing as of yet. My question & what confuses me is, aren't you losing a lot of nutrients in the fiber that the juicer takes out?
@demesrvl6761
@demesrvl6761 10 жыл бұрын
I've watched dozens of his (and others) videos. Fiber itself has little to no nutrient value; a good juicer send the majority of the food's nutrients to the juice. If you want the fiber, smoothies made in a high-speed blender will be your friend.

Hi John! I've been changing the oils I've been preparing meals with and I was wondering what you thought of Moringa oil, Argan oil and Olive oil. I'm in Spain and this is the land of Olive trees, so we have cold pressed olive oil from our surrounding trees, organic, of course. The olives were harvested and pressed the same day back in January. How good or not so good is this oil for my diet? The Argan oil is coming from Africa, also cold pressed and organic. Moringa oil I've bought online. These oils are supposedly very nutricious. I do have organic coconut oil as well, so which oils should I mainly use? I do use quite a bit of oils on my salads, plus add a mixture of fresh seeds as a topping as well. No wonder I'm not losing any weight, but I'm also in menopause, and I guess you wouldn't be able to help me with the woes that have come with it like the Hot Flashes which are sometimes debilitating. Going on four yrs now, those hot flashes, so I feel like I'm doing something wrong with my diet. THE MORE I TRY TO FIGURE what my body needs to fix itself, the more I get confused and frustrated, but your videos have been inspiring me to try again and again, to figure things out. Thank You

Picked up Costco greens in the big bag... last couple times they have been going bad too soon. I cannot afford to run back and forth to return $5 bag, although they would likely process it, they are good about that. .99 stores are a lifesaver for those of us who rely on more creative methods of feeding ourselves. I have been getting organic celery hearts here, on occasion. Hothouse cukes, nearly 2 lbs each, a variety of hothouse tomatoes and peppers on the cheap. I do live in LA area, so you have that.

John, I have always enjoyed your videos. I'm about 2 1/2 months raw vegan. The town I live in here in Costa Rica rarely has good whole ripe raw fruits and vegetables. My question to you is if I eat the less than ripe fruits and vegetables will that be harmful to my body. They don't really taste good unless I blend them, but how will that affect my body? There also is not a good selection of fruits/vegetables. I'm stuck with the same few all the time. There is never any kale, collards, etc. I have only found lots of plain lettuce, usually pretty wilted. I've have purchased some pears, tomatoes, plums which were not ripe and after two weeks they were still not ripe and too hard to eat and eventually started to go bad. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks for your help. MarcyVP
