Good Afternoon, I have been laid up for a week now and can only watch TV looking down. A real bummer but I stumbled upon your channel and have watched many of you videos. What a superb job! No annoying music, excellent audio "voice over" and fantastic tips!! The content is very timely as I am in the process of building a 1950 Ford F-1 pick-up. I can't wait to get back out in the shop and try some of your techniques. I believe your welding tips have helped me discover what I have been doing wrong for a long time. Thanks for all the DIY tips. I know you make it look easy as you have done this for years but watching a true craftsman has been a huge help!! Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hey Robert, no denying that the resistance welder does a really great job but I suppose you don’t always have the space and accessibility to get in there with that welder and would have to plug weld but certainly would be a great tool to have on hand and certainly the ones from Harbour Freight do a great job and won’t break the bank. I always wondered how well the Harbor freight spot welded was. I did a trunk pan and quarters on a chevelle years ago and I am not a fan of sheet metal bit I definitely learned I would rather do a full panel with spot welds then a sectioned panel with a butt weld and have to spend the time jumping around welding and grinding and trying not to warp it. Guess I will be picking up a spot welder

Great video! Definitely interested in getting a spot welder. Assuming there are no accessibility issues for a spot welder, would there be a case you would choose a MIG weld over the spot weld? Thanks for wishing all of us well, and I hope you and your family have a prosperous and happy new year too!
@guzzifabrication344818 күн бұрын
@@jjohns17 hey thanks for the question, yes there are definitely times a spot welder will not be able to be used but if I have the option the spot welder is faster less clean up less materials and produces a superior finish or another way to think of it the factory uses spot welding 99.9% of the time on every weld building new vehicles... Wishing you and family a very prosperous New Year !
