In Europe there is an enormous wave of revival when it comes to classical architecture. There are many reasons why modern architecture MUST be abolished, you see our ancestors went through thousands of years of city building in order to come up with the most efficient and functional planning that went streight to the trashcan when modern abominations took over via americanization. 1) Beauty and aesthetics are very important. 2) Classical architecture is more functional, classical cities have everything within walking distance and this makes small businesses flurish, also the quality of life and health of the residents is much better (as we can also see via modern day statistics). 3) Modern architecture is bad for the enviroment. 4) Classical cities have much happier residents. 5) Classical cities are easier to be financialy better than modern ones duo to having strong middle class, being build by local materials and sometimes big tourism bonus. We could go on talking forever but i will stop here, to me aesthetics matter a lot and i hope i can live permanently in an Ellenic island one day (with good internet!!!), i love Corfu, Simi and Lemnos among so many others. I hope i can visit some of these beautifull mud buildings in Africa one day! Greetings from Ellas!
