I remember when I first watched the series when it started, I hated Ashoka. She was whiny and often seemed to fumble things. But when she left the Order, by that point in the show she wasn’t just some whiny Padawan, she was Ashoka Tano, and I have to give credit to this show for taking two characters I hated and making them ones I loved.

Ahsoka’s story is so well written sometimes it shocks me. She adds so much to not only Anakin Skywalker’s story but the whole saga. Although animated Ahsoka (and Ashley Eckstein) will always have a place in my heart, I am SUPER hyped for the Ahsoka series. I really hope we get an answer about Ezra too. Another banger video 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Reminder that we don’t know when the epilogue from rebels takes place! It’s important that, during the mandalorian, she doesn’t have Sabine with her and is searching for thrawn/Ezra which heavily implies that the epilogue takes place after the episode of Mandalorian.

The interesting thing about Ahsoka is that she never turned to the Dark Side and, as far as I know, never was tempted by it. Considering that it was Anakin, the future Vader, who trained her, I find it significant. He was a very good master because he listened to her and left her room for her own development, while he was constantly restrained.

Ahsoka Tano's role in Skywalker Saga is being basically fixer and spicer. She fixed and spiced Prequel Trilogy, spiced Original Trilogy, and I believe she will again fix and spice but this time Sequel Trilogy. I also believe that in next saga, saga happening after Skywalker Saga, Ahsoka Tano will be Yoda of next generation, the new mentor. I freaking love her since always.

I don't think this video really does Ahsoka justice. Sure, the fact that she could have been the person to train Baby Yoda was pretty cool, but it's not groundbreaking. As you said, there were at least 2 other people that could have done it I think what makes Ahsoka so impactful is the same thing that made characters like Qui-Gon Jinn or Luke Skywalker impactful - she creates her own path. Qui-Gon is one of the only jedi recorded to follow the principles of the living force, and Luke embraced his connection to the dark side to create a more balanced system. In a similar vein, Ahsoka becomes a living embodiment of the light side of the force - there's no codified practice, no enforced etiquette, just the basic principles of serving the universe to do good. Behaving like a paragon isn't exactly new ground, but she is the only character to drop the ways of the jedi and still uphold the light side of the force as the better option, as if she chooses to see the world in a positive light where the jedi manipulated everything to be that way, Qui-Gon saw the world with a neutral and passive outlook, and Luke initially copied the jedi before having a lobotomy for Episode VII In a way, Ahsoka is as much the prophetic Chosen One as Luke was. Anakin was the one that would bring balance to the force, the real Chosen One, and then Luke was tasked with resurrecting the jedi to be more accepting. Luke is setting up the universe for a long term solution - hundreds of jedi to protect everyone from misguided individuals and bring them to justice and rehabilitation (This came in the way of Mary Sue Skywalker). Meanwhile, Ahsoka is out there doing good. She's the one that is ACTUALLY helping people, and while they didn't have to make Luke into a retired loser to put Ahsoka any higher, it does demonstrate why Ahsoka's embodiment of the light side is so unique - she can't be corrupted. Luke fell to his own darkness when abandonned, Qui-Gon turned to his own darkness when enraged; the only person that really parallels Ahsoka's unshakeable nature is Palpatine Could you imagine it? Ahsoka, the personified light side of the force and arbiter of peace, versus Palpatine, the personified dark side of the force and harbinger of evil
@johnmichael26923 жыл бұрын
Ahsoka is indeed a great character in Star Wars and she’s one of the best that’s still alive too even in the sequel trilogy but after finding out about his fate very early I do hope ahsoka did find answers on malachore and find a way to save kanans life without changing or damaging the timeline like heading to lothol in secret and use the force to protect kanan from the explosion as he saved the ghost crew, I also hope she might have been able to save more of her surviving Jedi friends and bring them all to one of the hidden Jedi worlds and have them live there as there new home and base to still help innocent people across the galaxy but drop the Jedi name and become something greater and well balanced in the force than a Jedi or a sith and wield white lightsabers like her and all her surviving clone wars and rebels friends are with her too

If you put Rebels epilogue after The Return of the Jedi, you state Lothal city changed so much within 4 years. If you put Rebels epilogue after The Mandalorian, you state Lothal city changed so much within 9 years if not longer. What year make more sense? Of course the longer one. Dave Filoni himself stated The Rebels epilogue may happen after The Mandalorian. He did vague answer because he works on Ahsoka show and doesn't want to spoil anything I guess.

The Ahsoka book happens between The Clone Wars and The Rebels. I think it would be great if EA turn this timeline part into game. The Clone Wars already retconned Siege of Mandalore in the Ahsoka book, so why game finish the book off? People would more willingly play as Ahsoka than read about her anyway.

What defines Ashoka is that she stays true to herself, she keeps her integrity and don’t let herself be trapped by other’s narrow, polarized and restrictive frameworks. She evolves beyond Light/Dark side dualism and embodies the whole nature of the Force. Even when that means leaving the Jedi behind. And that’s ultimately what saves her. It’s something that Anakin couldn’t bring himself to do and which was his downfall. Meaning, Ashoka surpassed him, as every apprentice is destined to do with his master. She is what Anakin could have been.

Another good vid. Keep it up. Good to see the Chanel grow. As good it is to see connecting tissue I am worried that this show is turning into fan service and pandering for a specific fan base. Her appearance does not add anything for the story aside from the exposition that arguably could have been skipped altogether. Mando could have learned about a Jedi temple from a number of different sources. The Emperor in TRoS was controversial but it was a part of the story in the end. If we removed him from the movie everything else would need to be rewritten. If we removed Ashoka from Mandalorian everything Mando learned could have been achieved in a small cutaway line in a better story and the season would go on with no change. It's not to say that "the Jedi" was bad. But I think this takes us to a dangerous place.
