Brother, I truly appreciate your sober approach to things. I get so tired of these KZbin hype men. It's exhausting listening to all the talk about the Raiders not having a QB. I saw this kid in preseason out play the vets and then back it up during an extremely tough test period during the season when he had to be good against all odds. Very few QB's would've handled that as well as Aiden did. Zero t/o's in a run to get in the playoffs. I think a lot of this kid, he's not an elite talent but he doesn't have to be. He has exactly what it takes to win, he's fearless and accurate. He has an advanced understanding of the passing game and where to go with the football. Reads post snap and avoids mistakes that get you beat. Best of all he's a Raider! A lot of people don't know this but the Raiders have rarely had the best QB in the league, we won with defense and a strong Oline. That is where we're headed now. All Aiden has to do is get the ball to the weapons on time and accurately and we can beat anybody.

I agree with what you said about the the Raiders quarterbacks. I watched Stabler and Plunkett play back in the day . And didn't have to great all the time. They enjoyed having a great defense to play behind. But the one thing that all great Raiders quarterbacks had was the will to win. Play to their strength. And Antonio Pierce has him playing all to their strengths on defense and offense knows how to get the best out of them just like Madden did. Just win baby.

It's been a revolving door of head coaches and quarterbacks since the Al Davis days going back to the 60's. I grew up in the Bay Area watching teams like the 49ers, the chiefs and the broncos win divisional titles, make the playoff consistently and win super bowls. The thing all those teams had in common is consistency: Good head coaches that coached for the same team for years, quarterbacks that kept their teams in games and won the majority of them, and owners that understand football. Now we have Mark Davis fumbling around lost I the fog. Until the raiders have consistency at head coach and general manager the team will flounder in mediocrity like it has been doing for decades. Just my two cents...

Ive watched every quarterbacks best throws amd his TD against Denver was the best of all of em even the announcer didn't know how to explain it. While drifting back wich is how you do it not run tf around until someone is open that tells me either the play call sucked or the pre and post snap reads didn't line up.

i dont think the willingness to trade up in the draft was indicative of a lack of confidence in aoc, i think it was because AP wanted to get his guy jayden daniels. i think guard dog and aoc are both good and i am excited for the battle. i think guard dog is a cool dude and fits the raider mold. having said that, i think aoc has a more important quality, he possesses a cool headedness, work ethic and overall tenacity thats allowed him to exceed everyones expectations every step of his entire career. i believe that will be teh reason aoc ends up our franchise qb. also i think there is too much emphasis on aocs lack of athleticism. he isnt a small guy, he isnt frail and he has a big arm. ironically the team who was supposed to be weak at qb has one of the best duos in the league.

OConnell has got this! All he needs is a little more time in the pocket. And since coach said we will be running the 12 (two TE) a lot- and the offensive coach we got ran a lot of it before he got here. This will buy him the little time difference he needs. And Carl- I am hoping you are right about our right side lineman coming into this season with good improvement. I been so frustrated I turned into a negative attitude guy- thats over. Back to the old me- and the Raiders are back to smash mouth football. Life is good. Oh- Minshew… he is a good back up and that’s where he will stay.

AO4 has a winning record as starting QB in the NFL. If he was drafted in the first or second round last year we'd be talking about his potential greatness. Carr was the fastest QB ever to reach 75 losses. Gardner Minshew has a losing record as a starter so does Kyler Murray, Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield, Matthew Stafford and Deshawn Watson among others.

I’m not pro or Anti AOC12 I think we should have tried to move up and get a QB, but Aidan seems to be the only heavily scrutinized QB, people ranked Will Levis over him despite AOC performing way better and only being a year older, if Aidan was drafted at 7 rather than Tyree, I wonder if he would be thought of as someone to build around. Makes me wonder how he’s gonna do next season, the only way the Raiders and AOC can really shut people up is winning a playoff game

I gotta roll with you on AOC. I think he's a better talent than Minshew. The kid (AOC) has definitely been putting in work! I think with an established OC, and with the OC having freedom to run his offense, not like what he had in Chi-Town, he was set up to fail there. But Davante Adams is an AOC guy, so we'll see how the players respond to each guy.
