The Al-Aqsa Mosque was built by either Abd al-Malik, the fifth Umayyad caliph who ruled from 685-705, or his successor al-Walid I, who ruled from 705-715. The construction took place sometime between the late 7th and early 8th centuries AD. when Muhammad flew into the sky, on a white horse, the mosque was not there.

I think Titus did not exile the Jews, but he sold rebellious Jews into slavery. Josephus the Jewish historian was his consultant. The exiles were living, at least the bulk of them, around Jerusalem. Jerusalem was the place where rabbinical cadres resided, serving the secondary job of being Roman tax collectors. The rebels objected to the heavy taxes, and were not paying Roman the due taxes and also refusing to pay the rabbinical fees. So the rebels were excommunicated, not viewed as Jews.. After the war, a lot of Rabbis were left without a revenue, and they opened up their ranks to the Gentiles. The apostle Paul is one of them, he had no Jewish flock to support him. He invented the Christianity for his livelihood. As a result of being sold as slaves by the Romans, the modern Jews all have very little connections to ancient Jews. Josephus's description of the temple also does not jive with the location of Al Aqsa mosque. Probably the temple was located outside the city, since it was serving as a tax collection site, must have accommodations for Roman soldiers as well. The city was protected by Josephus himself, and refused to allow the rebels into the city, which must be protected by the Romans. The rebel Jews must have destroyed the temple. The Romans had no reason to destroy it. It must be located outside the city for that reason also.

That STORY is clearly the human author's mistake, whoever he is. That's what happens when you plagiarize and you do not history-check your writing! The fact is that there is no temple in Jerusalem at the time of Muhamad. Abdul Malik built that mosque in 691 by bloodshed and force. The plagiarization and the outrageous claims get crazier because the story is MEANT to show that Muhammad is superior to Jesus and the other prophets. In that story, Muhamad even led Jesus and the prophets in praying and he even went past the point where the patriarchs and Jesus are not allowed by God. What that verse proves is that the Quran was IN FACT a fabrication. It was not handed to Muhamad but his followers compiled and wrote what he supposedly said long after Muhamad died and then call it Quran, the plagiarized Torah and Gospels and the unfiltered word of Satan. What the people should know is that after Jesus' death, the Jews sternly denies Jesus's deity including Muhamad's time. That is where the ambitious false prophet Muhamad got that idea of admitting Jesus is a prophet but not God and to put himself above Jesus as the better prophet. Hence this story is NEEDED. As a recap: This story of convenience is so fundamental to muslim belief because 1) that establishes their claim on Jerusalem, and 2) it basically says that Muhamad is superior to Jesus.
