Why no tree stands for hunting? A tree stand is a platform built in a tree or leaning against a tree with some type of ladder. All could be built like you made this seat. Or semi permanent.

I’ve not seen you doing fake cold videos but I believe I have seen other people doing fake cold videos. People claiming they are minus 15c and meat is still soft and puddles have very thin ice. I’ve tried to discuss with them but it gets me nowhere of course! Thanks for your videos as always! Good stuff as always

This has to be the most comfortable chair I've ever slept in, believe it or not. A fricken piece of rope is all you need to do this. You can go a long way with this simple camp. I almost use this exclusively to ground hunt now. The cordage video is in Lars', playlist under -Siberian ways- woodsman chair. Watch his adds and buy him some coffee you guys.

I make a variation of that type of seat here in our Manitoba woods. I put the big log and seat on the other side of the tree and the poles extend behind the tree and seat. If necessary the long poles are elevated to keep the seat flat.

Splitting wood is not always as easy as an edited video makes it seem. I have had MY adventures and frustrations with trying to split dried birch sections down. They LOOK SO INNOCENT on the outside, but some have devilishly twisted graining inside.

@@jamesellsworth9673 I've been burning wood for heat since '08, though I buy and have my wood delivered, I still chop a fair bit of it down further and some for kindling. Yet, I still find myself messing and fighting with more pieces than I care to admit, where my axe gets stuck, or a knot wins or hit the top of the log from every angle and still can't find the grain direction... lol It's enjoyable though, therapeutic even. I absolutely ADORE my wood heat ❤
