But most people when you ask them how they feel, Christian or Muslim, they will answer “Thank God for the life” Alhamdoulillah Allah put me in a place where he can test my generosity and my heart.

What ever I drive, it is the best car that anyone has ever had. My house is the best house there is, thank god for keeping me and my family safe in it. I dont want anyone else’s blessings. My family and I have been very poor over many years because of war and the economic insecurities after that. But we were just glad to be together with all our limbs intact. When I lived in a rundown apartment complex as a refugee, I was able to se these glorious sunsets over the highway and I felt that, since sunsets are one of my favorite things in this life that God gifted that to me until other better things came. And it’s always like that, God sends signs that he has not abandoned me. And now I have plenty for me and for others. None of the things I donate are mine. God trusted me to deliver something that was always meant for someone else. And I am honored He trusted me with it.

My African Mother was very poor when she was little. She had to walk kilometres to fetch water without shoes. Sometimes she would cut her feet while walking under the hot sun, sometimes right at the end at the door of her house she would drop the water for tiredness. My grandmother, at times wouldn’t have enough money to give her children food so she would ask the neighbours help. It was tough HOWEVER those were THE BEST years of her life, despite the fact in her 20’s she went to Italy 🇮🇹 for a better life. She lived most of her life in one of the best regions in the world ( Tuscany ), had all the BEST quality food in the world, a big house for her Family, the love and care from my Dad’s family and us children BUT YET the time in her own country in poverty are still the best moments of her life. This makes me wonder : Where is the real wealth? Where are we running towards? I hope this story will make you think differently about your life May Allah guides her and my family to Islam

I work as a teacher and my income is clearly not as much as my peers who work in office or other industries. Sometimes the fee is paid after 3 months or even 6 months. Do I feel poor? Sometimes yeah. But I've always known that it is a test. There is always silver linings in any situation. With my condition, people are nicer to me, people are more understanding and genuine, which are things that money could hardly afford. Somebody once told me that I should not worry to much about rizq beause it has bee decreed by Allah. As long as you still breathe, rizq is imperative. Just work hard, do your best, pray and let Allah do the rest. I live with that word until today. This lecture just strengthens my faith in Allah and what he's already decreed upon me.
