Maybe it's because pretty much all my hiking gear has had all these features since forever. Waterproof. Expandable zips. Dual zips. All the zips. Pockets for weeks. I think the only thing worth are weather resistant pants since you can always wear jeans and such for warmer climates but for winter rain and snow they're really nice. Jackets....most jackets people wear are waterproof so...
