Well the Bible says in the end times there will be a falling away so we’re probably seeing a lot of that. Additionally, the American gospel, for a large part, has become the whole prosperity tickle your ears gospel. So, this is all,part of it in my opinion. Not to mention there are a lot of corrupt individuals in places of power in government. So, I personally don’t believe it’s simply that our nation has continually left Jesus behind. Prosperity gospel, church tickling ears, corrupt pastors are a few reasons in the church. The Bible also says there will be a falling away in the end times. I think this is more realistic than just leaving Him behind. We have corrupt leaders as well destroying the nation.

I remember In the 90s my entire church , once every 4 months , we’d protest abortion on the road to the clinic . 400 sometimes 500 people would show up . We’d get signs , there was 3 kinds. The one I held said “ you were an unborn fetus too “ . The other two said “ adoption is the loving option” . Then the third one said “ Jesus loves your child , you should too.” Then we’d line both sides of the road and for 6 hours . We all just stood there with our signs . With 400-500 people , you have enough to line up for two miles before the clinic . It was kind of a silent protest in a sense because we weren’t yelling anything . We just stood there holding our signs . I’ll never forget it . I was 7 when my church started doing that . We did it till I was 16 then our church got a new pastor and it stopped .

This is an important sermon to me. It's something I struggle with. I have a lot of anger toward the left, their lies and particularly what they are doing to children through transgenderism and our nation through illegal immigration. But I also know there's a lot of brainwashing going on within our society by a media that downplays or refuses to report on the worst of what is happening. As one recent example, I watched them call Donald Trump a racist, Hitler and a "threat to democracy" and then blame him for yet another assassination attempt on his life. An awful lot of people believe wholesale what the legacy media puts in front of them because they don't want to even consider that they might be being manipulated. It's easier for them to just assume all is factual and never question what they're told. So is my anger justified? I always feel it is but how I respond and whether I condemn those people who can't see the evil they're supporting is up to me. Am I trying to change their mind through compassion, kindness and example or just hating them for not seeing things my way? I too often feel it's the latter, and that means I'm behaving like the worst of them, which I don't like at all. I do believe we can turn the other cheek so many times that we're just spinning in circles and that there comes a time to stand up. But perhaps it would make for a better world (and a better me) if I tried to look at those who I disagree with through God's eyes. It's just really hard to do that because I am fallible and sinful. I also don't see any way to get through to most people who have abandoned God or just common decency for woke ideology, and I've tried. They are as entrenched in their belief that the world should be burnt down and remade by their ideology as I am that the world WILL be burnt down and remade by God BECAUSE OF their ideology.

I am glad that pastor mark talks about abortion. In the usa there are around 600,000 to 1 million abortions performed every year. In the world there are up to 70 million. That is disgusting and not acceptable. In no way am i approving pre marital sex. But the reality is that people are going to do it regardlessly. I am very guilty of that myself before i became a christian. It angers me the most is this attitude of not being responsible for your behavior. If both partners used birth control, there wouldnt be any need for an abortion. Its this callous attitude of if i get pregnant, i can always count on abortion to solve my problem. I may get some heat for saying that, but i think 2 people using birth control is better then killing an unborn baby. Another problem i see is that many churches are against abortion, but they will not preach about it in their sermons because it is too political, or it may upset or offend somebody. I am on church #4 trying to find a church that is not afraid to talk about it.🙏

I don't think that's how it works...God does not grant wishes, he doesn't even answer prayers. You need to do the work yourself. Identify your mental problem and find the solution with the internet. Christians use that word differently. He just explained what it means. Religious people rely on self righteousness, doing good, and abstaining from sin. (Good things for sure) but they are disconnected and relying solely on their own goodness. Their spiritually is obeying a list of dos and do-nots thinking religious performance is what makes them good regardless of their heart condition. They also tend to be hypocritical and judgmental and bitter people. This spirit doesn’t just affect people who practice religion, there’s atheists like this. This is far different than having a relationship with God, a heart to heart connection with him and instead interfacing with him through a list of demands. It is his spirit in us that enables us to walk uprightly without trying very hard. This is like a tree that is disconnected from a water source vs a tree planted by a continuous water source. Eventually one dries up and withers and is like the walking dead. The other is alive in the spirit and in relationship with God and that will transform them in time. For me being disconnected manifests as anxiety and major depressive disorder and seeking cheap forms of dopamine to get along. But when Im connected and spending time in his presence that’s when I become refreshed as if there’s some sort of nutrient I’m receiving spiritually. I don’t know how to explain it any better than that. He’s like a wall outlet and being disconnected is like running on batteries, eventually you’re out of juice 🪫 It’s not about doing the things, it’s about that branch to vine relationship which enables you to do the things to begin with.
