Why an international job and why Singapore?

I recently switched from Flipkart, India to Shopee, Singapore as a software engineer.
I have talked about 3 reasons on why i made this switch and why Singapore was the best location for an international job for me.
The 3 Reasons are:
1) International Exposure & Growth
2) Money/Savings
3) Boost to your profile/resume

To clear the details, Currently for 1bhk , rent is around 2500 to 3000 SGD per month. Also please do check the cost of living with a family and kid. These details are only for 1 person living in a studio apartment of around 150 sq feet.

Bro I have few questions for 5 years IT Engineer experience: 1)How did you apply in Singapore Jobs? 2) What is the Income Tax slab in Singapore? 3) Are they giving Extra Hours Extra Allowance?

1) You can apply directly to the careers’ portal or take a referral. This is pretty standard. I took a referral for Shopee and applied in the careers’ site for TikTok. 2) www.iras.gov.sg/taxes/individual-income-tax/basics-of-individual-income-tax/tax-residency-and-tax-rates/individual-income-tax-rates 3) No extra hours so no allowance for that.

Some companies have a branch issue but nowadays you can apply off-campus and get a lot of opportunities if you want to!

It’s highly dependent on how big your family is and what is the age of your kids and your parents ( if they are moving as well ). What kind of schooling and facilities you want to provide them, is also a point that can make a huge difference.

Tech stack is team dependent. For tech. stack, you can go to the careers website and see it for various teams. Mostly Golang is used in SG.
