I have to say, you saved my day and my curiosity. I was so painful to understand why the scr fullwave bridge controlled rectifier can allow current to flow while the voltage is in reversed biased. You're such a great teacher!

Think of Inductor as a large body of mass which has a huge inertia. When you apply Force, it doesn't move initially. Similarly when it is in motion, when you apply Brakes, it doesn't stop immediately.

If induced voltage (back-emf) is equal and opposite to applied voltage, what drives the current?
@ashishjha99614 жыл бұрын
this is my question since a long time
@RizwanKhan_994 жыл бұрын
@@ashishjha9961 bro i passed engg 11 yers ago and im still clueless
@Rk767424 жыл бұрын
@@RizwanKhan_99 Well Induced voltage is less than the applied voltage and it's not instant, it lags source voltage by 180°.You must have learnt that in transformer we take primary voltage as Vs-Vinduced, that's the reason.
