This is such an underrated channel.. I dont think there is any teacher in India who would do such an in deoth analysis of inductors.. Thank u sir..

I have to say, you saved my day and my curiosity. I was so painful to understand why the scr fullwave bridge controlled rectifier can allow current to flow while the voltage is in reversed biased. You're such a great teacher!

Think of Inductor as a large body of mass which has a huge inertia. When you apply Force, it doesn't move initially. Similarly when it is in motion, when you apply Brakes, it doesn't stop immediately.

If induced voltage (back-emf) is equal and opposite to applied voltage, what drives the current?

@@RizwanKhan_99 Well Induced voltage is less than the applied voltage and it's not instant, it lags source voltage by 180°.You must have learnt that in transformer we take primary voltage as Vs-Vinduced, that's the reason.
