+Ahmad Jamal what do you mean ? nouman ali khan speaks a very high proper arabic better than most of arabs without the slightest accent, it is very astonishing to me when he explains quran , it is a gift from allah to him .

1916 win it's a funny story that happened to him with one of the people in the video who thought that Nouman Ali Khan doesn't know any arabic, so he wrote down the arabic alphabet on a piece of paper and started teaching Ustadh Nouman,

Language is what makes us ONE. Every single Masgid should teach Arabic. The minute that we enter the Masgid the ONLY language spoken should be Arabic. Quran was given to ALL mankind in ARABIC. If anybody really cares about the message should learn the language. Translations are just that, a translation. Everybody should take the extra effort to learn THE language will makes us ONE.

I'm Malaysian and most of us are taught to read the quran real early in life. So we become adults who can read the quran with proper tajweed. It's been years since I realized how funny it is that I can read something really well, without any problems, but not understand a single word of it. I will start learning arabic now.

very good job very good job you are doing my brother Noman . people listening and reading books that only but they are not joining any class or course to understand holy book of almighty allah but our scholars responsibility to organize the course .in my knowledge number of young boys and girls in hyderabad india they inspired with you and they now are learning arabic. we established one full time arabic urdu institute in mehdipatnam hyderabad india in 2004.may allah accept our efforts

When Brother Nouman started to list the excuses ppl make in not learning arabic; I felt deeply ashamed and it really is disappointing to realise that I don't fully understand what I am reciting during salah- whenever that may occur. As an Arabic teacher I agree with the importance of learning Arabic for understanding the Quran. I disagree with you however about speaking. Arabic should be the lingua franca of the Muslim ummah. When I traveled to Albania and Nigeria and Indonesia it was beautiful to be able to speak with my brothers and sisters in Arabic instead of using English. Only, when it replaces English as the default second language for all Muslims will we achieve adequate respect for the language of the Quran.

yes it is very importent,.,for ofering prayers,,I am s indian muslim i speak only and only in hindi,,so i read quraan in arabic and its translation,,,bcause translation helps in following it.,.And following quraan is more importent then just reciting,,my mother tounge helps in making DUA,we call it prartna(DUA) i am love my own mother tounge it helps me to be closer to ALLAH

I am trying hard to understand Quran by translation, as I am not well verse in the language. But, Subhanallah, as I am reciting it everyday, I feel bless and I slowly prefer to recite Quran than any other books. I feel depress if I miss a day without reciting it.

Sheikh Nouman!! We need a mosque to be built here in mississippi! I feel like theres alot of work to be done here or awareness to the people abt Islam. They r very interested but sadly there aren't any muslim communities or mosques here!! The only mosque I know is couple hours away! I really wanna be part of a Muslim community specifically in places where people are not aware of ISLAM and MUSLIMS! I hope u look into this issue and try to fix it... Jazak allahu khair!

This 'Uztaaz' is so perfectly bi-lingual, I'm so jealous! Strange, though, that omniscient Allah wouldn't choose 'at-RaSuul' in many regions, not just Arabia. I'm sure Allah ('THE God') could have revealed his scripture in Finno-Ugric....so let's just be thankful....'nushkur Allah mažbut.....'

I'm not a muslim, but I really want to learn Arabic and read the Quran the way it was meant to be read/spoken. Obviously I can't just pop open the Quran. I've got a couple Muslim friends but I'm nervous about asking them for help because I'm worried they'll find my stumbling disrespectful, what is a good course or book to work from or website that'll help?

These courses are not pricey. I just took the 10-day course for $100.00 at MCA Santa Clara, CA. it was so much worth it. There were some students who couldn't afford it so they were taken care of Alhamdulillah.

Biblical Hebrew (Ivrit) is the most profound language, from which many (if not most) Arabic words or roots are derived. for example, "Asslam Alaikum" "peace unto you" is very closely related to "Shalom Aleichem" which means the same thing in Hebrew.The Torah, of which the Koran speaks very well and acknowledges as authentic revelations given to other prophets of The One God, was physically written down millennia before the Koran.

!السلام عليكم I have a question for English (En) speaking people who've had the experience of learning Arabic (Ar) through En. I'd like to know if you can recommend me a good En-Ar dictionary that you found useful when you were learning Ar. Also, do you know a good Ar grammar book that is written in En? I've had 11 years of Ar at school but now it's rusty. I'm not sure if jumping directly into Ar grammar books with the help of a Eng-Ar dictionary would of much use to me. !جزاكم الله خيرا كثيرا

@weirjf Hi, if you go to his website, bayyinah.c om/podcast/tag/nouman-ali-khan/, you could get the full tafaseer of the Qur'an, in which Nouman Ali Khan does not only translate it to it's closest, most accurate translation, but he also gives full explanation of each verse. They are divided into 114 chapters (surahs) and you could listen t them all. His tafaseer is honestly one of the best I know of. If you want to learn quranic arabic, I recommend your local masjid or good website. Salam.

Alsalam aleykom. If you are sincere in your attempt then in shaAllah Allah (swt) will guide you. There are many youtube videos available that introduce people to the Arabic language, you may find them useful. There are also online courses and books available for purchase that could aid your learning. You have to make the effort yourself for Allah (swt) to aid you, even Musa (AS) had to hit the sea with his stick in order for it to part. May Allah help us all in our learning. Ameen.
