Not unless your iPhone gets really warm or if you’re outside on a warm day. When that does happen, you can simply plug in the usb c cable and it will continue charging

I'm particularly curious about the improved efficiency of QI2. I don't like to use these wireless battery packs, or desk chargers because they produce more heat and do make your phone battery degrade a little bit faster. I'm curious if with this new QI2 standard battery degradation is less of a concern, and how much more of a charge you get compared to just connecting a wire. Personally i also enjoy the 5000 mAH packs because they're smaller and more convenient.

Heat will happen no matter what with any wireless charging. Since I’ve been using MagSafe charging since it came out, I’ve not noticed any battery degrading at all. The speed of charging is definitely faster with qi2. Anker also makes a charger that connects directly to the usb c of the iPhone 15, you can watch my video on it.

Yeah that is true. It would be naive to expect no heat to be produced at all. I'm just interested if QI2 battery packs produce less heat than the previous QI battery packs overal did. And yup i have that Anker battery pack with the built-in type-c connector that you can flip out. It's pretty awesome, but Magsafe is still more convenient in my opinion. Nothing really beats just placing a battery on the back of my iPhone and it automatically snapping in place. @@TechGeekTXDad
