It's very fun to play, and as usual Ranked isn't the go-to with off meta builds like this, but I can name worse things to employ.
Some points not mentioned/clarified in the video include part of the reason Nashor's is good at all being its on-hit effect scaling with AP which you get for free on Souls. It's true that even with that, it was inferior to Wit's End in past seasons, but Wit's changed a lot this season, doesn't have ability haste nor AP, and viewing Nashor's from an AP perspective rather than an on-hit perspective makes it seem a LOT better.
But with past builds involving a lot of ability haste items I used to take mid (Night Harvester, Horizon Focus when it worked on CCs) have Nashor's Tooth looking a little better with less competition, and with the removal of Demonic Embrace and Liandry's not having quite as much HP nor the HP to AP passive, there's more room to experiment beyond just AP HP items. Now there's plenty of opportunity for tanky AP items that also provide haste, making your deadlier spells just as frequent or more so than a Support.
So unlike the one-trick pony burst ooga booga of Full AP, and the toothless full tank Thresh, AP Bruiser Thresh blends AP burst with DPS and just enough durability to back it up. I know some members of our community have done very well with AP Bruiser Thresh builds of their own design, and this here is my take on the Ability Power Chain Warden.

Legend: Bloodline (AD, take Alacrity if you take BOTRK early, or if you play AP)

Second Wind vs poke / Bone Plating against early game burst and fighters
Overgrowth if need a huge tank / Revitalize against poke / Unyielding tenacity for overwhelming CC or you need Plated Steelcaps instead of Mercs (though merc treads is usually enough)

I loved the Nash-Riftmaker combo along with Sunfire-Abyssal almost the entire season 13 , all just goes so well together , you get health converted into damage and flat magic pen and with the new Riftmaker now it adds up to the AP and let's not forget the potency of the aa and abilities too , it's just too beautiful not to go for it.

I've been running splitpush thresh top a lot lately (riftmaker -> hullbreaker) I really like how it runs and it makes hp purchases feel ok.

What do you think of malignance? It's missing hp but it does give you ability haste and the passive works pretty well with your ult slow

funnily enough I run quite a bit of rod of ages on my thresh, less so for the mana and moreso for the scaling/extra bit of healing. The healing gets you out of more situations than you think even for how small it is, and it gives you a substantial amount of ap/hp come mid game with some haste to boot. Is it the best? probably not no, but it's surprisingly solid from my testing. I also run malignance because hee hee ooga booga box, and the DOT circle is surprisingly effective when there are four of them in a small area

to perfectly build on thresh mathmaticly its full tank or ad HOWEVER the fully use his souls if you had infinite time to stack would be nashors tooth and thronmail his e having 300% scaling with ad dealign magic makes him going ad bruiser rlly good for this but mixng it with nashors tooth and thronmail he infintly scales his dmg aswell not the best build but ina world with all the time you need to stack he wins with thronmail and nashors
