Why are 3-Phase motors wired that way?

Thanks! If you want more info on motors, there is actually a ton of good reference content on www.Control.com. I wrote a few articles for them recently that explain wiring for 3- 6- and 12-wire motors as well. I don't have any of those motors myself, so I can't really make videos like this one, as much as I would like to. It's a fun subject but man, the deeper you go... It just keeps going!
