I like to PvP, and PvE on ARK Ascended. Usually beating maps under an ARK challenge. Unlocking the ending cinematics is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play some wild mods, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, maps, maybe even premium mods and official usually covering all maps from Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration to Extinction, Gen 1 & Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

all of them are under the mesh. if u go to upper left corner of the minimap, something like 7Lat 0Long theres gigantic opening in the wall, probably even bigger than Desert Titan cave entrance, its so wide and open than it looks like intentional passage, but it leads under the mesh, use any flyer with good stamina and explore around, u will find ton of creatures down there that fell thru the floor, thats why u dont see anything inside actual sunken forest.

i think they’re all falling through, even ones tgat spawned propperly fall under after loading and unloading. ive had it happen with tamed dinos too, will leave to do an osd then when i get back to base my pego for gacha crystals is under the map and my snow owl is half sank into the floor

It's hard to get into Ext but when it does it feels empty, there is not much dinos in there worse people put pilars everywhere. In my server the sunken forest is a ghost forest nothing spawn in it and yeah there is a lot of pilars the river is literally full of them

Extinction is what caused my brother and I to make our own dedicated server, been super stable, my brother has run into some bugs, but other than that it’s been great, no crashes or anything too concerning.

The lack of creatures is the worst thing for me since the map came out. Not finding any brontos, allos, gigas, carcha, etc. it’s been weird. Even doing the drop events, end up not being able to find some random creatures during the defenses that leaves me sitting there for like 5 mins before it just auto kills them or something. Hopefully it gets fixed when they back from holiday.

Carchs and gigas share a spawn and corrupted gigas take up those spawns as well, start killing dinos lol

Haven’t had any of those issues in SP but i did have just random dinos spawning mid air and just being stuck there. This happens a lot with manas (which honestly im not complaining).

we have encountered a dozen or more bugs in extinction. Low spawn rates. -sunken forest being very empty -one carchar per map, with corrupted gigas taking up ALL of the giga and carchar spawn. -floating grass textures -dinos getting 0% effectiveness tame when restarting a server. -heavy memory leak that even a restart once day, 10 hours later and it's shooting up to 200-300 ping and 10-20 fps -hit boxes for a lot of dinos just aren't there. battlerigs dissapearing and blowing up -people falling through random holes in the floor and dying. -at the bottom of the sunken forest there is a few void holes. -little to no gachas.

Corrupted wyverns killing the rider of a tame should be fixed asap, its ruins the fun in doing purple osds, you've got wyverns that'll basically one shot you with their breath unless you have medbrews and its not fun at all.

there is actually a mod that fixes it.. I've put it on my server until they patch it in the game. it's called "Corrupted Wyvern Fix (Crossplay)" by Farkom_net ... Already done 1 legendary Drop and a couple alpha ones and it's worked perfect so far.

Whether you like the state of the game or you don't, the people working on it are still people and deserve time off to spend with their families. They shouldn't be working the Holidays and missing spending time with their loved ones just to work on ARK when they do that the rest of the year. They're still people and they still deserve time off. As for it being "past the new year", yes, that is technically correct, but with some game companies they take the full two weeks off, not just specifically the holiday. Riot Games is an example of this, they take a two week break off in December for Christmas and New Years. Many other companies are the same in the games industry from what I've seen. This is nothing new. Digital Extremes is another example of a company who takes two weeks off. It's not unheard of and they'll be back next week.

Mesh spawns have been an issue since The Island. Especially underwater there. Center‘s floating island also has so many dinos in the mesh it’s really bad. Please, I desperately hope they fix that. Please. This is my main issue right now. This would fix OSDs, Element Veins, Taming, probably reduce lag and overall increase the fun. Dinos (tamed!!!) are falling through the mesh if they aren’t on foundations, never to be seen again. This NEEDS to be fixed. Also, part of this issue, supply drops and artifacts. Scorched earth has many sky loot beacons that are inaccessible. Wildcard, I beg you. Additionally, Giga and carchar spawns are horrible. Not even in the mesh (although this happens as well) but they just rarely spawn at all. Here I thought extinction was the best map to tame them. I’ve checked multiple times with a dino finder, run the game at 10x speed and waited, all I’ve seen are three carchars and two gigas in weeks. One of the gigas even somehow vanished (anti-mesh? First issue again!). I want to play the game, I love it, but it’s so hard to look over these gamebreaking and fun reducing issues.

It would make WildCard's life considerably better if they had some clear rules about the Community Crunch : publishing it always at the same specific time, adding a line at the end of a Crunch to warn about changes of schedule ("it's the holidays so the Crunch wil be back on January 10th"), etc. It would save everyone from speculating over unforeseen silence, to the point that some people start talking about "doom" just for two weeks without a Crunch. But of course that would imply that WildCard can stick to a schedule and um...

there is another pretty big glitch on single player at least where if you re log while a creature is KO its Taming Effectiveness will drop to 0 and it cant be brought back up, if you use admin commands to fix it it returns to 0 as soon as it eats

I play single player on the PS5 and the mesh is a horrible issue. Twice I've had unconscious creatures I was trying to tame fall into the mesh where I lost the tame, and I've seen dozens of creatures stuck in the mesh. I've also been playing with the Holiday mod from Wildcard and chasing Raptorclaus around just to find that well over half of the presents go straight into the mesh, with me only being able to actually get one or two presents a night if I'm lucky because the rest disappear into the ground in front of me. It's frustrating and I'm really hoping I don't lose a tame to the mesh at this point

smaller tames on the ground tend to fall through the mesh when going in/out of render so be cautios with that. iv lost 3 pegos by now from leaving to do an osd then coming back to see them under the floor, keep them on ceilings or smthng is my recomendation, structures seem to be much safer than the actual ground

I think the main issue Wildcard has when doing QA for Ark is they perform all their QA on a local/lan dedicated server and therefore do not debug and patch issues with stuff that occur when playing on a server. they also seem to all have AMD based computers with doing QA, because if a single one of them had a Nvidia/intel computer, they'd realize the massive mistake that is forced FSR3 FG.

My theory to the battle rigs going invisible is that due to them not being in direct line of sight they are being de-rendered (a common thing in games) and there's an issue with the updating recognizing them as needing to be rendered by proximity to the player. Just a guess though, I'm no game dev. Just a thought of how games function and what I know. I don't have any insight to ASA's internal workings at all.

The rigs also fall through the mesh on other maps. Still working on getting them on extinction but I've lot a little t of supplies from the rig throwing themselves into the void or under the mesh. I hope they get a much needed break and once they are back they fix the rigs quickly.

2:25 there definitely is lots of copy and paste work from ase as some of the sanctuary bridge rocks got grass added on them but wildcard forgot they’re breakable so the grass just floats because they copied the area from ase

We tried to fight the Wild Titan today, and he just stood there, took damage to half, and then we stopped doing damage and he started healing. Didn’t move the entire time, and took no damage. We finally gave up and left, lol. I took video! Lol Also (I hate to admit this, because it made it so easy, lol!), I tamed a dreadnaughtus yesterday and the waves of dinos came in, but they were frozen at the spawn point (Made it really easy, I just went to each spawn point and munched, lol!). Now I have the easiest dreadnaughtus ever tamed! With Christmas feetsies! 😁🎅🏽🤶🏼

They definitely don't work much better in SP. My Rig similarly became invisible once dismounted. Most of the problems for the Rigs seem to be related to the Turrets and rear attachments, which I'm guessing mess up the hit boxes. As for Astreos, for the price of £15, it has to be a completed product before I fork out the money.

I have not even built my first battle rig. I was annoyed at the strange fixation at covering all the metal parts of the city with an explosion of greenery where it makes zero sense and causes, surprise surprise coming from Wild Card, more view obstruction that causes problems with game play. I have actually been playing on an ASE server and having a much better time. Which kind of sucks, because outside of the problems Raas mentioned and the greenery issue, I actually kind of liked this launch and I was hoping it would finally be better. I am not so critical because I have some fixation on ASE, I wanted ASA to be better, I really did and still do. I love Ark and where I was promised something better, I have been delivered a rolling cascade of disappointments. I am critical because I just hope, some how, the problems being aired and spoken about, will get them fixed at some point and let the game live up to the grand times I had before. A new rebuild to make new wonderful times with.

I hate that there's still an issue where all my dinosaurs will show as level 1, same thing with wild dinos or when I'm doing an OSD drop if I go out of render for 2 seconds searchimg for the stragelers an I'll find 6 of my Rex's a 100 m in the air and the OSD has disappeared. Dont get me started on the managarmr.

I think the game mode has a lot of potential but I’ve noticed that the few people that are still playing are only doing the Parkour Mini-game. With little to no incentive to play the other games.

My single player save in extinction is lacking with spawns and my OSDs also either creatures won’t spawn or take forever to spawn or they are under the mesh attacking the OSD. I’ve also had many doggos set as my companion suddenly be booted from being my companion and I’ll have to constantly resetting them or they’ll completely vanishing as if they never existed. Also my roaming king titan hasn’t spawned in ages though I wonder if winter wonderland has something to do with that

Since you're on sp I recommend the "Better Horde Mode" mod. Configurable, can highlight the OSD spawned creatures with a beacon and gives you a radar. Can also be set up to auto-kill them if they run off someplace or get stuck in a mesh somewhere. For King Titan spawns, he has a different time on SP. He spawns in at 7pm local time instead of the 10est for online. Winter Wonderland doesnt affect his spawns at all afaik. I have it on and he appears when he should

@ Thank you for the tip! I was also told giga and wyverns are good at taking out meshed creatures during OSD drops so I sent some over. As for King Titan hasn’t spawned in a hot minute for me and I’ve seen others in the varies Ark discords with this issue aswell both unofficial and single player and I’m usually on at 19:00 (or 7pm) but nothing. Ever since I Dino wiped for Winter Wonderland he just stopped appearing for me even if I get on during the day to see still nothing

Every time tested 4 times now that my battlerig just flat disappears when I park it and turn around. Every so often, my buddy can see it and recover it for me, but I've just put it in the garage. All of 2 minutes I've gotten to experience it. Rolls way too easy, I can tell you that much.

I also havent seen the King Titan spawn the map at all, so i dont know if its due to the christmas event or what. And the Ice Cave has a huge mesh hole on the right hand side where you can fall through and lose all your gear, tame, etc

I am really enjoying extinction! Aberration ran fine for me in the beginning then became close to unplayable after updates. The only issue I have with extinction is the mesh, especially on stairs and platforms in the city. If they fixed that I would be even happier. I hope they get some good deserved rest during the holidays, they take a lot of shit from the community.

Honestly, we've still got issues with Trains that was was back when SE got it's facelift. I'll have a train with carts connected to it one day. Another day, my engine will be INSIDE a cart. Then if you pick it back up, there's really no way to reconnect them... so it's just time wasted

What about the crashing problem? Obviously, the delayed Xbox certification was because of the map being buggy as all hell. I've lost two great character saves due to crashing, cannot even load extinction without it crashing. Other maps, no problems whatsoever.

I like the look of Astrateos but don't think any map should be $15. However, anytime I see Astraeos, there is always one thing that jumps out that I don't like, the obseliks , there to much going on around them for me. I'm maybe nitpicking but it is hard to miss them.

For us the game has run pretty ok. We've had issues with the battle rigs such as falling through the map so we've avoided them till patches come out. The only issue i have is the game lags hard when I'm in my inventory or storage. And I wish they would fix the hotbar item transfer bug. Idk if anyone else is having that bug or not.

The battle rigs being buggy isnt the issue, the trucks flying through the walls of my base is the fuckin problem. Cheaters are literally flying them around like we are in harry potter. They must be removed.

The map is visually astounding but the mesh spawning Dino's is still my main complaint as always lol and yes the battle rigs are not invisible I found all 15 of mine in the mesh xD

I think the Extinction map looks great, The the best glow up? nah I would still say the island is. What sucks is in an attempt to optimize the maps, they arent going as hard with the new maps but it makes sense. As for Bobs DLC, I will admit, I am actually heavily disappointed, Not just in that but really in anything that involves vehicles/platforms. The trains? awful, Pulling Carts? Unusable, Cars? Barely working, Zeplin? Basically useless with how slow and dreadful it is, oh and again, unstable over a server like the carts, trains, and cars. it's genuinely clear Wildcard doesnt test their content in a more real world scenario, only testing it in single player environments and calling it there.

Yeah, the battlerigs are disappointing. You get them at level 90 something but you can make the garage at 50 or so. Seems confusing then they bug out once you can get it all cool looking. Most are having difficulty with the dreadnaughts, they don't render in fully and are messed up as well. Thank you for telling us the creatures are spawning, they are just in the mesh. Most thought they needed to up the amount of spawns on the map.

Forest titan needs to be fixed!!! Kaiju Groot didn't take a good liking to me shooting his arm off, he then proceeded to run off the cliff resulting in it despawning..

Why you ask? Because the company in charge doesn't care about it's player base and would rather make a quick profit even tho the devs say it's not ready The devs will continue to lay under and be silent about a s vast majority of issues because they know their community is upset with them that never changes but they also realize that when push comes to shove wildcard and snails would rather be silent and just continue pumping out maps and events with not a cause or concern as to if it will launch with no issues or even if their is enough servers for the player base Simply put snail and wild card don't care as they should and the player base needs to stand up

Despite the smaller bugs, Extinction runs wayyyyy better than the previous maps at launch. Heck, scorched still runs like crap. Ext though I can get 60fps on high settings on my 3060

I cannot believe people are surprised by the battle rig issues. The ASE atv was a complete piece of crap and why would anyone think it would be different in ASA? Frankly I thought it was stupid to even include them in ASA. This is a dino game, not a lobster truck builder game. Even though I bought the bob’s pack it was not for the stupid truck gimmick; and I would be totally fine if it was removed entirely

Its funny how all these new players playing ASA are finding out how wildcard is.. Im an OG ASE player and man it was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything! They will add new features to pacify players about other issues.. Pumping out more content (when I say pumping out content, I mean using taking maps/dinos from independent creators) over fixing old buggy content is their specialty! I am so glad I stopped playing when Gen 2 came out.

I've 2 battlerigs disappear into ground .. even went into gcm and ghost and rigs indicated it was there and it wasn't 😮 .. devs better get on it asap ! Extinction glitch map !!

Just some time off after a long slog to get stuff out, stretching it a bit with this title i think :) The mesh issue is not nearly as bad as ppl on discord make out, a single gacha might be behind a wall, but everyone wants them, the ones that do spawn are inst-tamed so everyone ends up finding the one behind the wall with their scanner. Argies are back and fairly common already, or as common as they are on ext anyway.

Rigs gets eaten by the ground. Rigs..flying to the sky when you run to a small ramp on ground and kaboom cause your out of bounds like fireworks blowing in the sky. This is on ps console.

If by taking a break you mean they all got fired because they can’t do their job, I’d definitely believe it. Official servers are in shambles. No word in 2 weeks, Dino spawns are the worst I’ve ever seen, literally NO carcha/giga spawns. There’s been 1, I repeat, ONE lvl 5 carcha spawn after a server update SINCE RELEASE. It’s so bad. What other job do you know of that you can do such an outright AWFUL job, under deliver, zero follow up, zero anything, and you still keep your job?

OSDs are not improved at all I have noticed maybe even worse.... I have not seen the tracking auras around remaining corrupted dinos from the OSD?? I have had waves where I needed to wait for 32 hostiles to despawn or show up

By the time you beat the boss you arent going to be using your element on fuel, but tek instead. And tek dinos/element dust gachas won't be on those maps as an alternative to get ele dust.

They really need to go ahead and just update the spawns on all maps to include Tek dinos instead of waiting for Genesis like I believe they are planning. However, for unofficial servers I'm quite sure there is a mod or will be a mod that does that.

I play on xbox and I can't enter neither aberration nor extinction. Every time I try to play those maps my game crashes, so I've lost two characters and all the progress I've made there. I thought that deleting those saves could solve the problem, but in asa, if you want to delete one, you have to delete all of them, we don't have the option to delete just one like in ase. I've had this problem since a few weeks after aberration released, so I don't think I'll be able to play those maps again. It will likely be the same with genesis.

they deff copy pasted the OSD dino spawns. 2 locations i know of are impossible to do. 1 of them just despawns with 10+ dinos left in corrupted wasteland.. And the other one in corrupted wasteland literally took us 2.5 hours to do 13 waves bc everything spawned in the mesh we had to kite them out
