@ He isn’t lying. There was a perquisite deduction in the slip earlier, but it was removed after multiple complaints in HRMS. After that, all provisional, pay slips slips were frozen . They said they are trying to resolve this issue because the circular is old (for 2022-23), and a new circular hasn’t been issued yet. Either they will adjust it in March at the financial year-end or wait for further instructions from management. However, it is confirmed that SBI will bear the tax.

Even SBI is deducting TDS on all interest waiver loans. Many employees receiving only meager salary in January month and will continue to be on the lower side till march 2025. The decision by supreme court is draconian and AIBA should raise their voice against it.

It's a draconian rule imo..there are same perks given to Railway employees as well like concessional loans but I don't think they're getting such deductions..not getting a month's salary is so bad..I mean if an employee is running out of money how can he run his family's responsibilities??

Best option is to give Lease amount to employees account directly and even if tax is deducted as per slab , they will manage how to spend on rent. The lease amount can be used to pay home loan installment. A wise thought to get own house using lease amount.😊
