That's right!! I have a neighbor with a Mercedes SUV. She also gets gift cards from a local church. The problem is that you don't have to prove you're in need. You just have to show proof of being a resident of the city or town, where the food bank is. My other question is, how does she live in subsidized housing when she can afford a brand new MERCEDES. There's others, driving brand new LEXUS, AUDI. These vehicles cost 60,000-80,000 and nevermind the cost of insurance. "Single mothers" sitting at home with brand new expensive cars.... Something is not right 🤨

@@RepublicOfWesternCanadaNOW mortgage/property tax keeps going up because my home went from being assessed at a modest 200k to 400K since the pandemic - this is due to all the immigration and the housing crissis, power keeps getting hiked, gas keeps going up with the crazy carbon tax, groceries keep going up because of carbon tax related to shipping and greedy CEOs, etc...mostly bills - can't afford anything anymore, thanks Justin

My rebate only increased by $10. It used to cost me $55 to fill my 2003 Toyota Matrix from low fuel before the increase in carbon tax. I put in $60 of fuel in on Thursday and it didn’t fill it. I can’t even afford to drive to work anymore, but I start working before city transit starts. I serve the bus drivers just heading off to work at 5:00 am!

We need to use land more efficiently. So many new wineries popping up when that land could be used to grow food. Prince Edward County comes to mind. It's almost as if the business lobby is trying to prevent the use of land to grow food in order to keep food prices artificially high. Near urban areas, more hydroponic and acquaponic systems could be set up to grow food. Even downtown, some empty office buildings could be used for indoor farms.
