I am kenyan actually. I got so hooked on sid roth's show, I'd almost refer to it as an obsession, i got so thrilled by all the stories from his guests especially those on visiting heaven and hell. I even introduced the videos to my family!! As time went by i realised that some of the stories from his guests on the same topic were contradictory. Also, i was always left with so many questions if not so much confusion, i had banked my trust on sid's prophets and totally ignored the bible. It is true, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

I must have lived in a bubble for the first 40 years of my life, because it wasn't until I started seeking out some good, solid pastors online about 5 years ago that I realized there was even such a thing as charasmatics, prosperity preachers, word of faith and Gnostic/New Age. I didn't realize there were so many who pretended to be Christians. I always thought it was just Roman Catholic, Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons who manipulated Scripture so badly! I spent 40 years simply looking to the Bible for things. This really stunned me at first! God Bless your ministry. Since at least 1985/86, when he wrote "The Seduction of Christianity," the late Dave Hunt spent the rest of his life, exposing these false prophets, before he died in 2013. He went all over the world, giving talks about it, making an untold number of videos. He wrote at least 25 books also, during that time, trying to expose them. I guess if one is not looking, even with information at his fingertips, in our day and age, he will not find the truth. This is not by any means, slamming you, because all of us have been deceived by these false prophets in one way or another. We just have to make a conscience effort, to find the truth, and explore all sides of any issue. We should never take anything said about any subject, for granted anymore. We are being deceived on virtually all fronts now.

I recently came out of the NAR, thanks largely to Justin and Chris Rosebrough -- and of course the Holy Spirit. These kinds of "I found myself at the airport with no money and no passport" stories have been circulating in hyper-charismatic churches for decades. They are always told about a friend of a friend or are otherwise unverified (I had to wonder why Bruce Allen's friend who was also "relocated" didn't appear on the show to confirm the story). Thank you Justin for calling out Sid Roth and for your many videos exposing the heresy of the NAR and the charismatic movement. These have been like a lifeline back to the gospel for me. When I first became a Christian, I could not imagine that someone who claimed to be a believer would intentionally deceive other Christians. I suppressed my skepticism because I truly thought Sid and his guests were acting in good faith. I know better now. These people are not only weird; they are wolves.

I am a continuationist, but to my understanding the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit are not displayed and dispersed at the same frequency or quantity as the early church. Just look at how many real miracles were happening left and right back then. This does not lower the significant impact of the Holy Spirit, but it does show that we are being fooled by a lot of false signs, false gifts, and false spirits. A lot of prosperity preachers and other false teachers will say they have gifts that they don't. They perform false miracles. Many so-called Deliverance Ministries use the verse where Jesus says "you (taking it as all disciples when he was speaking to the apostles) will do greater things than these", and they don't realize Jesus was talking about quantity not quality. CONTEXT MATTERS. We are overstepping our authority in the Holy Spirit if we believe we can do far greater things than God. Just wanted to point that out. I believe I was gifted with discernment and encouragement. Praise God! I do believe miracles like healing still happen, God has saved me from so much and delivered me from literal demons. However, I think a lot of people are fooling themselves and fooling others nowadays. Test the spirits my friends

The "God wants you to have your "best life NOW" and "God wants you to be filthy rich and cure all your diseases-- but all YOU have to do is "sow a seed" by sending my ministry a bunch of money, and God will bless you" type stuff... It is a perversion of the Bible teachings about "if you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain "go throw yourself into the sea" and it will do so". Everything they teach is based on "demonstrating your faith" by "sowing a seed" in their ministry, and this some how "unlocks" God's hands to make you rich and healthy and give you everything you ever wanted. That is contrary to what the Bible teaches, again and again and AGAIN. Paul couldn't even heal himself of the "thorn in his flesh" and three times he prayed to God to remove it (whatever health condition or whatever it was that obviously troubled him enough to seek God's solving it). God told him "No" and told him NOT to ask again! Jesus said repeatedly, warning His followers (past and present) that they persecuted Him, and they WILL persecute them. The rewards are for those who faithfully follow Christ and His teachings, not necessarily in this world (though God can cause us by circumstances, talents, abilities, or occurrences, to possess great wealth, but this is not a PROMISE to believers-- believers are taught to be CONTENT with their situation and do the best they can to serve God where and what they are), but the rewards are in the LIFE TO COME, after this life. Many New Agers (and other eastern religions) practice what is called ‘astral projection’ - where their spirit leaves their body and travels around. It’s a real thing, and DEMONIC. Sounds like Sid’s guest may be into that ☹️ Nothing at all to be messed around with! Doreen Virtue used to be heavily into New Age practice (idk about astral projection) but she has since repeated and left that lifestyle. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict. Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. In other words, one must seek the full context of what is stated, what is happening, who it's happening to, etc. Any passage can be taken out of context if one does not apply the full context of Scripture and this has proved to be one of Satan's most effectively deceptive tactics. A modern example we see in everyday life of this very thing is the concept of "fake news," which relies upon telling people minimal information, assuming they will not research the matter, and them assuming the initial framing of a story is true. It is effective because people do tend to be lazy in their approach to information and this is unfortunately and similarly true with how people absorb Scripture. They see the words on the page and apply them in all-encompassing fashion when that is not necessarily their intent. This is why we so often hear skeptics say silly things like, "If you believe in Scripture, then why do you wear blended fabrics and eat shrimp?" They do not understand the context of those laws or their application. Something happening one day (in this case, in the time of a certain Scripture's recording) does not mean it necessarily can or will happen today, especially when Scripture explicitly says it cannot or will not. An example of this would be receiving "new" word from God. This is impossible, given that the end of Revelation states plainly, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." -Rev 22:18-19. Scripture is fully sufficient on its own and requires no new word. If it did, then we should have been recording the words of all of these "teachers" or even any man, woman, or child that claims to have been spoken to by God. If they have truly heard His voice, is that less trustworthy or necessary than the words of the Bible? The reality is that these so-called "new Words" are wicked and are the words of false prophets whom Jesus warned his followers of time and again in the gospels. These are also the words of men and women of whom, lest they repent and believe, Jesus said, "On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’" -Matt. 7:22-23 Truth be told, however, men such as this and concepts such as being physically transported from one region to another from one's toiilet are such obvious nonsense that one only need apply the amount of thought it takes to figure out 2+2. This man is also a proven false teacher and false prophet for the simple fact that his false prophecies have not come true. His words are his own, not the words of God. They are wanton blasphemies. I would encourage you to no longer rely merely upon your own understanding of the Word of God. First, you need to examine yourself to find whether or not you are truly saved. Do you know the gospel of Jesus Christ? Do you know that you are a sinner and dead in your sins? Do you know that for your sins you deserve eternal damnation? Do you know that Jesus Christ came to this earth, lived a holy and sinless life, then was crucified and died, then rose again? Do you know that he did these things for the salvation of men so that he would be glorified? That he came and lived and died and rose again so that sinners like you and me could take part in that salvation if we simply repent of our wickedness and believe? If you have been saved by the grace of the Lord Jesus, then amen and hallelujah, but also I warn you not to be deceived and led astray by such men as Sid Roth or other charasmatics. Their teachings are evil, unbiblical, and will lead you into sin, and if you are not truly saved will lead you straight to Hell. Waste not another minute with them. Repent and turn to Christ. Then take your Bible and listen to those that teach the Word and ONLY the Word of our holy God. Buy a Bible commentary by such a teacher to help you gain an understanding of the fullness of Scripture and what it truly teaches.
