So in my own salvation memory and testimony I can confirm that the Lord Jesus will use dreams to communicate the need for salvation. Dreams are for the individuals to get closer. Dreams are also often where we do our mental compromising or have a court in our heads to ensure outcomes that benefit our overall health. Eg I'm concerned about getting older maybe i dream about my grand parents passing away. Not all Dreams are connected to spiritual matters. When i tell people about the Lords mercy its from a place of global and individual need for the Lord coupled with his call for repentance. But my experience cannot leave out that Jesus called me into a place of choice in a lucid dream. I could think it through and argue why i can't be saved. He corrected my thinking and called me to give up on trying to save myself in the catholic way and instead repent accept and be transformed into his child, paid for at a huge cost to Him. When i awoke i felt the full peace of Jesus. It was a new thing. I prayed and I thanked him. I also asked the Lord in daylight to save me in case the dream wasnt enough.... it was enough though... as a person called in their sleep i woke up to his love and redemption with a heart full of repentance and a desire to serve my Lord. He has answered all my prayers over time. And sometimes the answer was no or not yet. I still value my experience. Is it the foundation of what I'd preach from? No. Christ is. The biblical ManGod who saves and was predicted in the books of the old testament. God uses different tools to reach different people. I cannot deny the number of times God has saved me with simple dreams and glimpses or reminders
