As a downstate illinoisian, it’s kind of terrifying how hard i’ve seen folks down here throw themselves behind Darren Bailey. ik that it wasn’t touched on in this video, but Bailey is one of the most reprehensible politicians i’ve seen run for office here, and we’ve exclusively elected the most corrupt people you could possibly find for almost 2 decades.

As a conservative, I now understand why so many Republican ads don't resonate with me. They're not tailored to conservatives, they're tailored to the things that Democrats think Republicans care about.

One of the most important aspects of fascism is anti communism/socialism. The democrats would rather have an anti socialist right winger republican than a pro socialist democrat.

This is a well known tactic in politics, it has been used extensively in Italy and it's known as "Strategic tension". This mechanism induce the voters to rely on more "moderate" candidates to fight extremism
