I have a better suggestion. Let's ditch bowlers completely and install bowling machines. That way both teams would have 11 batters and we can realise 400+ scores in a T20.

Let's also modify the batters. The batters can be machines that have an 80% chance of hitting a six. More thrill! No Cricket!

If you talk of Tests, even KANPUR2021 or say SA pitches except last CAPETOWN one or BRISBANE2023 one, except these, most others were appreciated. And the 2023FINAL was absolute horrible one, because ball was clearly keeping low and slow, which is DEFINITELY not intended for WC knockouts especially Final ☹️😊
@sushreyomisra32615 ай бұрын
To be fair, I have seen the language changing in intelligent cricket conversations. A good pitch is broadly defined as one where the pace and bounce off the wicket is consistent and trustworthy. A bad pitch is one which introduces randomness once the ball comes in contact with it. Wickets which offer help for pacers or appreciable turn and bounce for spinners who actually give it a rip are still called good pitches.

Last year in PSL where sides were reaching 250 and were even chasing them we Indians trolled them heavily but now when it happened in the IPL this year we're called it revolutionizing T20 cricket 😂. Total hypocrisy 😢, if batters are getting better in their skill then let them prove it on bowling friendly pitches and we'll see how this so called T20 revolution continues 😉....

Kohli scored 760+, Rohit scored 600, Shreyas 500, Rahul 450, Gill 400 runs in the 2023 wc -> When you already know that India lost the 2019 WC semifinal buz ur lower order batsman didn't get the chance to bat in pressure situations. And here your lower order players like Jadeja n Surya scored less than 100 runs before the final and didn't face pressure situations. U r asking them to score big runs in the WC final where they batted once or twice in that one and half month tournament, that too in the dumbest situation. Once Rohit said he wants shardul to get a chance to bat, which means u r already aware of the threat. Then also u didn't address it. And you let the players score their personal 'milestones' rather than "Making" a way to play the lower orders and bowlers to bat atleast in few matches to keep the team healthy. The motto of 2023 WC was to tell that Dhoni approach was wrong ( Rohit chose aggressive approach) but ur players didn't hit a single boundary from 97 balls in the middle overs whereas 4 overs bowled by 2 part time bowlers. And u couldn't be able to control ur partner at the other end who was planning to score century buz he scored 20 runs less in the semifinal. Every fan knows that Rohit was the aggressor in PP, that player played his favourite shot n got out for 4. Getting out is not a problem, the problem is did u played according to ur role given. At the last, what people will tell you is that look how many runs Kohli n Rohit scored, whereas 329 runs from a player was enough to win the trophy in that 137 came in the final. Then what are these stats telling us, this is WRONG. Most of the league matches u have to get OUT to keep ur team Healthy. This is Basic.

Let me give you a small reminder who are trolling Travis Head, he played WELL on only 3 matches in the 2023 WC, 1 was the first match vs NZ (100+runs), 2 was semifinal vs SA (40+runs), 3 you already know. And his average in test cricket is poor too but he scored 180+ runs in the WTC final. He dropped so many sitter catches in his career and you know which one he took. He is not a STAD PADDER

Let's be honest. An average cricket watcher doesn't care about the balance between bat and ball. TRP is directly proportional to the number of sixes. And it is only going to get more ridiculous with every season. 250 is the new 200.

I believe in a country like India, there are many who understand the depth and nitty gritties of the game. May be we are not big experts, but cricket is a holistic experience for many like us, who enjoy every event of the game. Be it a great outswinger leaving the bat or a tor crushing Yorker or a spinner getting vicious turn to knock over the stumps or a brilliant run out or a game changing save in the field. It's not just about watching sixes for cricket fanatics like us. So yes, may be for those who don't have proper understanding of this beautiful game's nitty gritties can have only fun in watching sixes, but they don't make up the only audience of the game. The audience got to be educated about the game so that they can love and experience every moment, rather than destroying the game just to pacify them. I hope you get my point.
@adarshs62005 ай бұрын
Ah..the cricket tragics have arrived again, thinking they are the 'average' Indian cricket audience and that the beauty of the game should matter than money. Even if 10 million of us appreciate the nuance of Mitchell Starc's out-swinging, in-seaming dismissal of Travis Head, the IPL exists for the sole purpose of filling BCCI's coffers by pandering to the other 990 million+ who would rather see 300 being scored. A simple comparison of the TV ratings of the WTC final vis-a-vis some irrelevant league-stage game in the IPL is enough to show where the future of cricket is headed. I'm surprised it hasn't morphed into a T10 competition yet.

There used to be a time 240-250 was a good total in ODIs, now its not even a defendable total in t20s on absolute flat tracks. Personally, I dont want to see a batter scoring 100 off 25 every game, i dont want only one bowler like Bumrah in a 10-team 20-man squads to have a decent economy rate where no one comes even close to that one guy. This kind of pitches only makes batters more vulnerable when the ball is swinging in a test match perhaps or when its a sluggish surface like the ones in this world cup 2024. batters should be able to negate through the tough conditions and should the bowlers in flat tracks and there should a good mixture of surfaces throughout a tournament, not like this ipl. Bumrah was the MVP of IPL 2024. and the pitches in this t20 world cup were good, commenting the morning of the final

The second half of the tournament hasn't produced 260 socres continously so its not only the impact player. The mindset of players has changed. Ash has mentioned about there was data that loosing wickets are nowdays not slowing the runrate it is evident that players and team management now focus on powerhitting rather than conventional anchor role, so even if impact player rule is removed we might get 220-230 scores one thing no one mentions is that if you are a high quality bowler this is best time to, every franchise in the world will spend so much for you just think if bumrah brought to auction 🤌🔥
