Why are my fancy goldfish in a swimming pool?

A channel update on my fancy goldfish and fishroom. A mix of fish in this pond/pool including oranda, ranchu, butterfly telescopes, Pearlscale, Wakin and ryukin . This is only temporary whilst I build a new fish room but it is interesting to see the goldfish from a different angle.

How do you protect against predation? Between birds/storks, cats, dogs, racoons it seems to be a constant war. Currently we use a net, but that does not seem to be a pleasing looking solution.

In the U.K. we don’t need to worry about much other than cars dns herons, this was only temporary whilst we moved house

No offence I personsly just dont like telescopneyes or thiese bilky head fancy goldfisch To me personslly these breeds arent diffrent from a arsbic horse with a ditched nose. A pug or bulldog a scotisch fold cst or munchkin i think u see where i am going with this. These fish cN bsrely swim if haron or stork sees em they are done for 😢 Sad existence

And dont get me wrong ubseam like a genuenly nice guy (Sorry english is my second language ) Anyway 😅 Im just concerned about well being of pets especisly those wher u can be a a good keeper as u want but just the way they are bread indo shape makes it problematic snd hives them issues and and handycaps Its not fair Humsn might find it pretty or exotic but at the end off the day the animals are the ones who have to live with it Weather its a deformed spine a giant pudding on the head or huhe eyes Or for land animsls stubly legs Genetic coused illness Breathing issues or other things.
