If she wanted to help then she would have taken the knowledge that she gained and applied it to the land where she spent her formative years. The term sell out is definitely relevant and I can understand why Nigerians feel the way they do.

No one is saying Kemi shouldn’t criticise Nigeria. It’s the way she does it that leaves a bitter taste in most people’s mouth. She persistently criticised Nigeria in front of Tory members and Tory parliamentarians. I think she did it to ingratiate herself with the white electorate. Essentially for political expediency. They love nothing more than a minority saying the things they’d love to say - tap dancing for them. We didn’t see Rishi Sunak criticise India or say anything about deporting Indians as they make up the bulk of the overstayers in the UK. Instead he went to India to strike deals with them in return for more visas for their citizens.

Excuses, excuses and more excuses for the failures of bad governance in Nigeria. Please note that Nigeria found oil in the 1970s and wasted and wasted all that resources. By now, Nigeria should have at least Trillion dollars in reserves. KEMI is right and I admire her. Tinubu went to Paris to sign 300 million dollars Contracts for mining rare minerals in Nigeria. On the otherhand, Ibrahim Traore just paid national debt of 4 9 billion dollars and taken control of all Gold mines in Burkina Faso. Tinubu is going the opposite direction and Nigerians are criticising Kemi? Wow! This is an illusion for Nigerians that is self deprecating. Gloating in bad governance, corruption, crime, poverty, nothing works??

This politician originally from Nigeria may be right about certain things in Nigeria and in Africa at large. But when African politicians and business people engage in corruption in most cases they are working with foreign governments and foreign business people from Europe, USA, United Kingdom and China. The instability that we have in Nigeria and other African countries which include wars are mostly funded by foreign governments like France, USA, UAE, China and the United Kingdom. In recent years there has been a rise in violent crimes by teenage boys in the United Kingdom most of which involves attacks with knives. Drug trafficking in the United Kingdom is also a problem, but in this case it seems to be carried out mostly by white people and the Asians. One of the countries that was involved in the Biafra war is France. The military coup that took place in Lesotho in 1986 was sponsored by USA, United Kingdom and the South African apartheid government. They did this because most of the industries and mines in South Africa were owned by companies from USA and the United Kingdom, and, they needed water from Lesotho to supplement what they had in the then Transvaal.

Ad an African, I am following Kemi keenly. Barrack Obama endeared himself to both Kenyans and Americans, despite never having lived in Kenya. Kemi is using her Nigerian experience as credentials to contrast what works from what doesn't. Her portrayal of clarity of political vision has worked and propelled her to lead the party and formulate a new vision for British leadership. Nigerians, do not catch feelings so easily cos she is not singing the praises of her fatherland. She does not mean to hurt Nigeria, but build her ultraconservative brand.

Abeg, leave Kemi alone. The Nigerian police need to get their act together, get rid of the bad eggs in their mist. Have they yet arrested and disciplined those who shot dead youths protesting during end SARS, etc? How short some people's memories are. Perhaps they have become immuned to the absurdity happening to Nigerians at the hands of the police. If the Nigerian police and indeed the Nigerian government do not like being called out, they should do better. None of that responsibility without accountability, it does not wash abroad.

Kemi is a pathetic sellout. But there’s truth in the things she said. If she wasn’t such a sellout she could’ve articulated her rhetoric in a different way while still telling the truth. She obviously says a lot of things the way she says them mainly to please her British European handlers

Kemi is an omo ale...there is a yoruba adage that says you dont describe the way to your fathers house with you left hand, Rishi Sunak clearly understood this fact never slandered the country of his heritage India, a country which despite all its successes still has large swathes living in poverty and destitution! Kemi should face her job, the British people are more concerned about issues that affect them, so many people are in their little ways trying to uplift Nigeria but the nut head at every turn thinks by talking down on the country of her heritage makes anyone respect her, absolute shame!

Nigerians are not angry at Kemi Nigerians who has no voice like her. Nigerians who are dubious especially the political class are those who are angry with her because she is telling them the truth. Please it's an over generalization to say Nigerians are angry with her.. I am a Nigeria and am happy with her. Am proud of her. It doesn't matter how she says it. Let her demarket the country . That's what Nigeria needs to rise Many of you Nigeria you lament over this matters in Nigeria and yet stand back from confronting the rot in the nation

The NIGERIA Kemi grew up in is ACTUALLY a DIFFERENT time and dispensation that Nigeria is now. The military junta Nigeria was in was as Kemi described it but Nigeria has had almost 25 years of unbroken democracy. Although Nigeria is not yet there, there are MANY that are paying sacrifices "silently" to make Nigeria better. The Nigeria now is a harvest of the Nigeria was when Kemi was there but also the Nigeria that is evolving under democracy and still maintaining it position as the giant of Africa (or at least West Africa). It is about interests AND the relationship with Nigeria and the U.K. is very very cordial. Kemi should be CAREFUL because she is a politician and I am sure NOT all politicians of British decent agree with her. She need British Nigerians too in her elections. She needed them to get into parliament. Kemi is actually right though. Nigerian politician should be HELD accountable..

There are a lot wrong in Nigeria that needs fixing and Kemi is not wrong. My question is why are the issues of Nigeria top discussion topic of a British politician? There are a lot wrong with the UK and the US but I don't hear Starmer or Trump out there talking about these issues. I think Kemi needs to focus on British politics as a proud Anglo Saxon and leave Nigeria out of it.
