Meeting someone in a night club was so much easier than online dating because within a few minutes or a few songs you could work out if they were a weirdo or not and then move on now you actually have to go out on a date so much more time-consuming!

We need clubs to bring back early evening happy hour stuff again. Bring back Happy drink specials along with finger foods from time to time. Plus the clubs would have DJs playing music at 5:30 6/7 p.m. not 10/11 pm. Some DJs could Play some older music for the older early evening crowd. Then as the night Progresses bring in other DJs to play music for the younger Club goers at 10/11 pm. It seems like some of these clubs have to charge these outrageous bottle service, table prices because they can only make money from 10 pm to 2 am. It seems crazy some of these clubs sit vacant most of the day and early evening. Go to some of the casino clubs. They already have people there partying at 6:00 pm

Nightclubs never were about meeting future life partners. Hooking up? Sure! But meeting future husbands and wives? Not so much. Most people met their future spouses in other places, such as school (especially college), work, or through friends/family. Few people ever expected anything long-term from anyone they met at a club. One thing you didn’t mention was MUSIC. If you weren’t alive, say, 30-40 years ago, you can’t begin to understand how MAJOR of a force music was in the average young person’s life. When it came to music, there was always something new, fresh, and exciting. It wasn’t like today, where everything is just the ‘same old same old’. It was actually VERY exciting to go out to a club and dance to the music you loved back then.

not true. people accidentally get preg from nightclubs. the parents then grt married.

Maybe the pandemic played a part to finish off the clubs, but it was definitely going down hill before that. There are two main things that killed the nightclub scene. Social media and sections!

One of the main reasons we went to clubs back in the day wea to dance. Meeting people, yes that was part of it, but dancing and the dance floor took up most of the space and the activity in the club. Back then, the different dances even had names. Not the case today. Get back to dancing and stop going to clubs just to stand in place on the sidelines.

True, but from a club owners perspective a dance club does not generate the revenue of a liquor lounge. Hmm hot house dj loud speakers huge dance floor dress to sweat & seating was on a speaker or the floor vs hip hop dj, limited dance space, tables, hookah, bottle service and look at me standing/posing over here cute

Apparently, I talked to many people. They play hip hop at a lot of places, with a lot of clubs not geared toward dancing music In essence, people are starting to think that sex and sexy music is the only thing that matters 🤷

Me and my friends went to the club to actually dance! It was about the dancing….the music…..hanging out ……Just like people who like to drink and hang out but they are not interested in dancing …... they like the music… the atmosphere…….the people and the alcohol. I never liked dealing with guys that I met in the club because a lot of them were looking for one night stands so I would dance with them but at the end of the night I didn’t give out my number I am not into casual sex. I actually think that it’s easier to met people in places like the supermarket or on a train or walking down the street.

I never met any girl in a bar or club and did fine. Never saw that as a spot to meet or hook up anyways and I came up before social media and all that shit

I met my wife at a nightclub, we been married for 18years now. Last time I went to a club it was people just popping bottles with a little dancing .
@Aggie4life772 ай бұрын
I came up before social media and all that as well. It was the only way to meet, but outside of school or the mall, it was the best place to find other young people to mingle with. It was either the club or a party. It was a big part of the culture.

Nightclubs need to have an actual dance floor and djs need to play dance music.

What killed the club... 1)Cell Phones- too many people tryna record what's going on for social media, instead of enjoying the vibe. 2) Bottle service culture- Clubs have pretty much taught us that we are a nobody if we dont buy a table full of overpriced liquor. Dance floors are pretty non-existent these days. So unless u are willing to spend 2k plus on tables and bottles, you are pretty much there just to watch others have fun. 3) Ridiculous cover charges- It's not unusual for a club to charge someone 50 to 200 bucks just to get into a popular nightclub. Men normally have to bare this cost, so most choose more cost effective options. Ive smashed 100times more chicks i met in Walmart than in a club. And can have a better conversation with a chick at a restaurant bar, than any nightclub

You can even have a better conversation at the local Walmart than in a club since you are not trying to talk (and hear) over loud music.

Nightclubs are way more hassle than they are worth. Also not a good place to meet girls.
@AlexMoschopoulos10 ай бұрын
I'll be honest, many of us never bothered to go trying to meet people in nightclubs. We felt like the guys are just all out to hook up and the girls are looking for the wealthiest and hottest looking guy in the room. Most of us just went to go dancing with our friends, hear good DJs, and enjoy the music. If you ask me, the big reason nightclubs are in decline, is the cost. The higher cover charges, the expensive cost for drinks, etc. Money is tight now for everyone. Also, I think the bottle service culture killed it all. When I saw dance floors vanishing for booths, that was the beginning of the end. Everybody wanted to mimic Miami and Vegas, but it just didn't work. I will also say that we as a society have become more introverted. Just when I see the youth are more wanting to stay home and play on Snapchat as opposed to going to a school dance, that speaks volumes.
