Based on melt price and a $10,000 investment: Gold = 3.7 oz. Silver = 20 lbs Copper = 3100 lbs (based on $3.15 per pound. Of course, copper bullion is much more costly.) I can put $10,000 of gold in my pocket and run off. I can put 10,000 worth of silver in a backpack and walk away. I’m going NOWHERE with all that copper!

Im a fan of free copper. I scrap stuff in spare time. I also come across lots of computer parts amd just save it all. I alao metal detect for gold along the rivers in montana and found 3 gold rings in parks last summer. Also go theur coin boxes from the bank for free silver. Was an incredible year. 42 40% halves. 8 1964s and 2 walkers. 1 of them looks brand new. Not sure if it was cleaned. 91 merc dimes but 89 of them were in one box because i hit a coin dump awesome. The bank teller told me he found over 400. I got the scraps but super happy anyway. What a once in lifetime box. 4 silver quarters and i think 42 rosie dimes. Had to do something because i stopped buying silver since it went iver $27. Hoping it comes back down once the fake economy crashes

I have quite a few copper rounds and a couple of copper bars in my collection. Rumor has it they will be re-opening and mining in the copper mines here in Michigan. More jobs and more copper is a good thing. I only “stack” US and Canadian pre-1982 Copper one cent/pennies. They’re worth three cents each per coin. The rest of my copper is a collection. When they say “copper is not really worth purchasing”….. That’s when I start purchasing copper. People break in the houses and steal copper pipes. People steal copper off metal transport trucks. I kinda did the math. If you want to “stack” copper, you need a spool of 5/8” copper cord certified 99.9% because your customers will be smaller copper factories that spin wire and cable and stamp out parts, and that’s what they use. Your customers are not going to be coin collectors on Ebay shipping 10 ounces at a time lol. I think it’s a good plan to stack copper but need to ship it one time only and it would help to have your own flatbed truck and deliver it yourself. At that point you’re into having or leasing warehouse space. I figure having less than $100,000 is not even worth it. I buy COPX COPP and their top 10 holdings. Let those companies sell it and move it around.

I bought a 1 pound copper bar a while back. The premium was high but the price did surge considerably straight after. It was more for the collection than an investment but I bet it will still be worth something in a year or three. If you’re rushing to accumulate as much silver or gold and silver as possible for the sake of profit then fine, but it’s nice to have collector’s pieces to enjoy and hoard like a dragon here and there. The George and the dragon piece is a work of art though. I think the dents add character to it, they give it an aged look, like it’s been kicking around for a few hundred years. Awesome video my friend, thanks ✌🏼❤️🪙

I think a lot of people like the bigger bars of metal or large volumes of coins who don't have the funds to buy that much silver. You can scrap coppoer easily so don't need the proof marks or the safey of a coin so you'd be better off going scrapping or buying generic copper pipe and melting it into your own ingots. You would likely get many times the amount for the same price while also being able to scrao it with any scrapyard. Yeah its nice to hold and pretty but why not make the same things with even cheaper metals in that case like steel or bronze?

I never buy copper bullion. The premiums are ridiculous. the cheapest I can find rounds at is $1.25. Melt is $4.37 a pound so I should be able to buy 16 ADVP rounds for less than $5. The premiums put a pound of copper rounds at $20 which is more than a 500% premium. The only way I buy copper is in pennies. Copper pennies weigh 3.11 grams and I can buy 5000 copper pennies for about $90. That is about 35 pounds for $90 at that price I pay about $2.60 a pound which is far below melt at $4.37 a pound.

It's a sales gimmick. Copper IS really a beautiful metal, and the bars and rounds are spectacular looking. Just not valuable or something to stack. One would have to have their garage stacked full to the ceiling with copper to make any significant gain on a price spike. Or just a tube of gold in the safe by comparison. It isn't practical OR an investment. But they're pretty enough that some people buy them. I was under the porch on my new place fixing up a bit, and out of the corner of my eye I saw a coin capsule with that familiar glow. Immediately I thought "Krugerrand!!!!!!!!!" Dang copper round.

I work where they sell copper wire. Why buy this premium copper bullion when you could spend a few thousand dollars on a big roll of copper wire and if needed you could cut whatever amount you want off of it when needed for trade? I was seriously looking at the 500 foot roll of 2 aught braided wire. Get a shed and stack up reels of it.

A really good point well made. Preppers will 100% agree with you as would some investors. When people buy collectable copper coins or rounds, they tend to buy just one and don't really stack. Thanks for your comment my friend!

Absolutely… old UK, US, Canadian, and other pennies/cents can be had for melt price or less. Copper rounds and bars are for suckers. 11 quid for that round is total bollocks. Could’ve had a sockful of copper pennies for that price.

If you guys want to stack something cheap. Just stack nickels. They will have to stop making them someday. I think before the decade is up. We have sent so many weapons to Ukraine we are going to need to re stockpile and nickel will explode in a couple years. And copper will also. All these massive GPU AI processing facilities the massive companies want to do are insane. Our power bills are going to explode. If google sais its building a 100,000 GPU plant. I believe thats as much electricity as a city of 400,000 people use. Were screwed as far as power bills go in a few years and they will need so much copper

Some people call silver a poor mans gold. Copper? Perhaps it is somewhat a bit lower than silver...maybe more like a lower price of lead per ton. Copper is a great element. Probably better to buy silver and focus more on silver. Silver may actually be better than gold. Time will tell.
