Your video makes it look really promising. I loved the game back in the megabots era and before. It seemed like they started only listening to troll players and went to extreme lengths to protect the troll builds that ruined the game.

Exactly. And those players are still fighting for those types of buolds to resurge which imo will only hurt the game again. As of now its still gowing and nothing crazy has popped up. Even melee is back but its a bit more tamed (granted i havent tested it too much)

i feel that. Part of me wants to ask, does this game even need planes. They caused use balancing issues in the past and even had to make a pure anti air only weapon (Flak Cannon) just to be like, there, we have a solution.

@@TriloGStudio rail is anti air, and i use laser to good effect vs planes, and PSK hits fast planes well. loml is also anti-air.

Not sure if I’m a fan of being able to have every single gun on your bot. Having bots which specialized in one thing and had one weapon type was a lot more interesting and better imo

@@JAMMzMHW there is a limit to the types you have (up to 3) and most will require energy (bar the SMGs, which only slow energy gain) I actually really enjoy being able to have multiple weapons. If your a medic (medi guns cant deal damage) your not just sitting waiting to heal something, but can assist in combat . Or use smgs to close the distance then swap to plasmas. Also remember parts are destroyed off your craft, so that feature (like a rifle) could be removed leaving you to have to swap to your other options. And also each weapon has their own effectiveness cap.

My only thing I'm disliking so far about Robocraft 2 is how difficult it feels to fly a plane. It's so easy to flip over and get stuck unless you have a blink module. That, and being a sort of "plasma bomber" feels really damn weak, especially because the bots with railguns snipe you out of the air from across the map like it's nothing.

Thats exactly how it was in the first game, planes have always been weak bc they have to be light enough to get off the ground.

You sure. No auto heal, no realign (flipping bacck over), shield parts that have to connect to blocks, can only use 1 type of weapon at a time, no dynamic health so you pilot seat at T10 still only has 150 health, and the ranking system allowed weapons almost 3 tiers above to be brought in, thus getting one shot.

well you do need "jets" know as thrusters buddy , as a player who only used planes as main , once you get damaged you are screw , thouse give you the extra to run what you mean to say perhaps is that they need to cap the speed boost to like 50% extra speed in air with like 8 thrusters but if you add more they are useless so it makes somewhat fast but not mental like the bots you mentioned , we will see mabe , hope for the best enjoyable all around stuf

The speed usually wasnt the issue. I do agree on some sort of cap, maybe a sky limit. As a flyer, how do you feel about the current plasmas?

You explained you need the thrusters for more redundancy. My question is, are flyers needed for this game. Or shall we all go through that phase once more.

@@TriloGStudio the plasmas beeing in sequel instead of burst makes it less of a 1 shot 1 kill situation nerfing the main attack of a flying bit so it makes a more fair groud to air fight as lasers don't aim to well in air or motion generally speaking so I say is fair overall

@@TriloGStudio i used the thrusters for the agility rather than reaching peak straight line speed, i used to have a overkilled plane back when the wings were not reworked, i so overdid the loop and roll capabilities that the flak itself was useless against the plane I had, only rail guns put me in unpleasant situations, the plane mentioned, I still have it ing and even as rewored i manage to make it roll back and fly upside down, wish to bring that design back in this new game tbh

im a 6500 hour player and im not in the beta, what the actual f. i had no idea this game version existed? i assumed it was just some other version of the other rc2 when i got the invite. im actually really mad about this right now.

Lol bust my bubble? Anywho, RBC 2 was abandoned, but this is a different version using the RBC2 name. But you can also call it RBC 1.5 since its essentially a remake if the first game rather than a new one. They have a live discord, check it out.

I understand the first level but 10 does seem a bit much for so little gain. Maybe it just needs to be fleshed out s bit. To me it was a reason or further rewards for staying within a tier.
