That Covid demand for dogs has officially come to an end People got into it for the money and not the love of the breed and improving the quality of it. You can still get your money as long as the quality of your pups is there. Quality sells regardless of the market 💯

There's a lot of reasons. Money, time and commitment but ALSO. The breed in itself is a headache and complicated. Too many registries, classes and shifting standards to keep up with. It's exhausting. Especially when having to explain all the nonsense to potential customers... It becomes too much...

Are there states that don’t require a license for breeding? I thought it was mandatory in all states US.

@ I could tell you my horror story but I won’t . For Illinois if you don’t have 2 acre you cannot have more than 3 dogs that aren’t neutered without a permit or 5 dogs without a licence. All of the laws seem different by each state and county and also difficult to find.
