Corvette gets floated along because Chevy builds 10 million Cobalts, Lambo is owned by VW and paid for by 10 million Jettas, Supras and Skylines are made possible by millions of Corollas and whatever the heck Nissan makes.

The idea here is to safely bounce the viewers to other characters. I think for that reason alone this episode worked. There is also a vision of a car "team" more so than just 1 guy. Still, this needs some work. I think the office scene should have been relaxed and not the typical "boss with a flame thrower under your ass". A solid 8.5/10.

Actually the Viper is kinda italian at heart. When the Viper was developed Dodge owned a portion of Lamborghini and sent their v10 truck engine to Italy to be remade as a sports car engine for the Viper. Lambo recast it in aluminum made some major changes and sent it back to Dodge spacifically for the Viper. The original 8L v10 remade by Lamborghini made 400hp and 450lb of torque for the first gen rt10 Viper roadster. This was back in 92 and was a real game changer. When the gts (coup version of the rt10 roadster) came out it got a power bump to 450hp and 500lbs of torque but was still the remade engine from Lamborghini just with some further performance tweaking. So viper paying homage to that heritage and having a red version of the car is totally understandable. It's the red Corvettes I could never understand.....
