Before I got my Izzie, I found your channel. I looked at some others, but they didn't grab me. Our Lord said go back to the first one and I did. I didn't go there to be entertained. I went there to learn the very serious training I was looking for and I found it. I have applied that training to my 8 week old Black Lab puppy. She took right to what I learned from you and is pretty impressive at such a young age. We even made a small challenge course. She went on it the first time at 8 weeks like I'd already been training her. I kept thinking, I wish Uncle Stonnie could see what his training sessions, and advice has done for me and in turn Izzie. We are soon ready to kick it up a notch or two. Thank you so much! Pinned by stonnie denise

When I’m bored, I come here to learn how to train my black chubby with “persistence, consistence, and a little insistence” because I’m interested. I’ve put many of your methods into practice and it works. Your calm demeanor interests me and clearly has the dogs attention. If someone thinks your channel is boring, they’re truly not interested in the subject matter, and should simply move on.

I think "boring" is a highly underrated quality. I've had my dog since July. She'll be six next month, was never trained, was in rough shape (imagine being skin and bones at 117 lbs.) and is stubborn and strong as hell. It hasn't been easy but she's making tremendous strides, I believe because I've consistently insisted (lovingly but firmly) that we do things MY way, even if she does outweigh me. She now loves to take walks, walks up and down stairs (which she refused to do initially) and even goes in the car without an argument. Believe me, with a dog this big, I NEVER look forward to "exciting." I'm relieved that her behavior is becoming more boringly well-mannered and I appreciate the perspective you share.

Hi Stonnie. As I watch your training videos, I often replace 'dog' with 'human' and take mental notes at every turn. There's no music, no hassle, no drama; just a man and his will and his discipline to teach dogs basic commands, obedience, and good manners. More power to you. Love from Canada!

I do not see boring. In many ways I consider it going to class. Now I have a Golden Doodle. Not exactly a hard “dog” to train. But puppy stage was rough. Your hobo training concept has trained me to show a dog manners. Now he goes just about everywhere with me. He loves people. Will sit and wait to be acknowledged. Now people no longer ask “ how are you”. They ask “where is Leo”. Thank you sir!

I watch a lot of content but Stonnie's videos helped me the most, and these are also the videos I am looking forward to the most. This approach is like a cherry on top of the cake in my learning journey. I have been watching and learning about all the techniques and stuff, but certainly was lacking some bigger picture and WHY behind everything. I see Stonnie more like a dog philosopher, a wise man that puts in the work and does everything what he preaches. The videos are so informative and realistic. Some of them I tend to re-watch to remind myself to be more patient with my dog. Stonnie has definitely helped me to survive the hardest moments of raising a puppy. I want more "boring" videos! 😊

God Bless you and your family!!! You are a gift to people and to dogs :) and it doesn't seem like you ever sit down so there is no way for you to be boring. I am so proud of the work you and your family does for the community and because of KZbin, a wide audience. Your dog psychology makes complete sense and you teach it in a digestible manner. Your kids are so sweet and I'm sure that "Cameraman" is a Rockstar. Our beloved Weimaraner passed and in hindsight, she was a bit of a race horse for us. We are going to match our next dog to our current energy level, so Labrador it is (not sure it will be black though, haha). I live in California but my dad is from Kentucky so I love when you say, "Holler." I will also plan to do any courses you offer online so that we invest our work into the front end of our next dog. If I don't get to meet you on the earth I have a feeling I'll get to meet you in God's heaven :) Keep up the great work :) don't fret over the negative nelly's - some people aren't happy unless they are complaining or stirring the pot ... Bonus: if people listen to your dog training advice, they will also receive good child training advice as a bonus :)

Oh, well after many years of following, stonnie, cameraman, kids and dogs the videos have been the steady influence I’ve been searching for in life. As a mum now I appreciate the common sense you’ve ingrained into the videos and how in a world of hyper materialism I can be confident my kids aren’t going to hear swearing or anything of concern to me. So if this is what boring is, there is a mum and a dad and two little kids that love this content!

Hello Mr. Stonnie. Always liked your videos, and after learning so much from you and others trainers personally and virtually I end up forgetting your channel a little bit after a while. But came back after I heard this podcast (Canine Paradigm of 2 amazing Australian blokes) saying and remembering me how dog training is "boring" for the average people. It takes so much patience and consistency that are not appealing for social media. I don't know them personally but I've been hearing their podcast from years and I can assume with 99% of certainty that they were applauding your content and agreeing that social media needs more of these realistic and educational videos. Not "sexy", flashy and unrealistic 15 seconds of useless posts. Congrats again for everything. Greetings from Brazil.

The Mrs and I have been watching since around 2016 I think, and appreciate your family business and philosophy as it applies to dogs and people the same. We lost our heart dog in 2017, yet as old retired Senior folk, we get out, get going, stay active, make ourselves interesting- as if we still had a dog. We’ve learned more about dogs and the psychology of what makes them polite, attentive, and well-mannered. I love your channel dogs learn best by calm and repetition. I've just recently got two puppies. I purchased a yorkie cross two weeks later I brought home a 7 week old border collie who was on a farm the farmer had 12 puppies stuck in a tiny cage without room to move the little female I brought home is malnourished tiny for her age and was full of worms and fleas. Once she was treated Ive had to nagotiate raising and training two puppies very simular in age whilst getting the little collie eating and hopefully gaining weight. I've found been completely calm, having set routines and rules and doing a lot of repetition on simple commands the pups have learned like sitting for treats or meals is the best way to raise two puppies together.
