In Armageddon there are around 60 combatants. There’s a lot of character backgrounds the new games haven’t covered such as Nitara using Cyrax to get her vampire realm back, and Ashrah in the escaping the Neatherrealm. And many more like that. Loving these Q&A type vids. Is the tournament hosted by Argus in MK Armageddon a Mortal Kombat tournament or something else? I'd argue that perhaps a constant in both timelines is that Liu Kang ends up as champion in both through to the end. I'd possibly even go one step further and say that Raiden's 'he must win' calling in MK 2011 wasn't Shao Kahn after all, because it didn't stop all the wars between realms. I believe Liu Kang was the one who may have been supposed to win during Armageddon. Will be interesting if the current timeline takes that twist with Raiden turning evil. I can see the final fight being a rematch between the two...

This is really late but I was playing MKX the other day and I was Liu Kang fighting Kung Lao. The intro dialouge went something like "why must we fight brother" and "siblings often do" or something like that. So at this point I don't know what to think.

For the last question, the revenant could be Johnny Cage since in the story mode in Sonya's chapter, she and Johnny went to Quan Chi's fortress and revenant Jax almost killed Johnny. Quan Chi then started to restore him as a revenant but then Sonya fought him and Johnny was saved by Raiden. IDK just an idea. Also, Brusk should do more of these videos.

One issue with the second question. Lui Kang and Sub-Zero have an intro dialouge where Sub-zero refers to Lui Kang as the former champion and Lui Kang's response does nothing to deny the statement. If anything its more like he acknowledges it as a fact

Actually, John Tobias seems to have a short memory. In the MK1 COMIC, and backstory. Liu Kang was INTRODUCED as a descendant of The Great Kung Lao, however, this can be interpreted as descendant by way of association. Liu Kang is a Member of the White Lotus society, as is Kung Lao, a sworn fraternity of Shaolin Monks. This is why the two frequently address each other as "brother", though they are now actually related. The Great Kung Lao was the WLS' most prolific student, and most likely the progenitor for all monks after him, thus all monks in the order would consider themselves descendants in a way, as opposed to Lao, who is a DIRECT descendant.
