It's crazy to think that you went from just starting the FPV hobby to becoming the face of FPV Drone-ing in just 4 years... and here you are in 2020, still pioneering. S3 for life. I hated them (oh, another celeb branded prop) until I flew them. Now I order them by the big bag and hoard 'em. Was actually worried you'd stop making them when the S4 and S5 came out and nearly pooped my pants. They're ugly but nothing flies better and crashes better. Your FPV journey is creepily similar to mine as well, except that you're like a year ahead and, um, way better. CC3D! Lol

I got them as well when I bought my first drone (second hand). As every beginner I have crashed a lot. Things broke, but never these props. Once I dove straight into a wooden pole. FC broke, motor bell was launched off (little screw broke). The prop and bell was sticking out of the grass. Totally fine. Once I lost orientation on the are and hit the ground. 1 arm sticking straight into the ground. Arm was broke, but the prop was fine. I'm now still flying my first set of props, even with the nits and imperfections from all the crashes (and also an accidental touch of a soldering iron) they still really well. I'm just going to keep using them until they're totally unusable. And hopefully I'll be a better flyer by that time. I don't expect them to break anytime soon :)

Off topic. My friends claim that S4 has softer tips than S3. No proof though just their saying. What do you think? I think both S4 and S3 are built with the same material and the differ in pitch and weight is not that influencial. By the way, what is softer tip?

i got 8 sets of S3 props and let me tell you they are not good for a heavy quad. my marmotte weighs 670 grams with lipo and gopro and they don't have enough lift. im trying to get getfpv to let me exchange the 7 sets i have left for a prop with more pitch. i had my doubts but believed all the hipe videos out there. they probably work great on a light quad but i dont have a light quad. you are right about the glass nylon props being the best handling prop ever made just dont hit anything. normally i run the 4.8 v1s prop.

Well you have me on your props I normally fly either HQ VS1 4.3 or the Gemfan 5x4.3 props and I tried the S5 props last weekend and also crashed quite a few times with no damage to them and believe will end up being my go to prop they flew great!

Thanks for the superb explanation about props my dude. I'm trying to decide what pitch props to go with. I've been flying GPS drones for a long time. And came up flying collective pitch and standard Blade helicopters for about 12 years. Now thanks to you and a few others I am going crazy with FPV kwads! I cannot wait to get my first one built and get out there flying. I love my DJI drones. But there is just something special about building your own kwad. So far they aren’t. I bought cheap nylon props on Amazon and I had no idea how amazing they handled because I’d never used anything else. I bought S5s and they handle like absolute shit compared to random no name props I bought on Amazon. S5 are durable and but they burn through batteries at least 2x as fast as the nylon ones. Try different props, this brand shilling is BS

I switched to your S3's from Dal cyclones, still have bags of useless dals lol. S3 is nice n smooth, easy to control mid throttle accuracy, and a nice punch above 75% on 2750kv's. Wicked props broski

I dont wanna be a downer but I dont like the s3. Ive flown them and crashed. They were way too touchy. I normally fly V1S 5x4.3x3 to 5x4.8x3 I felt like the quad reacted too quickly. I was running 2206 2350kv on 4S. I didnt like them myself. But keep up the great work. Love ya Mr.Steele..!

I think you left out whatever crack/pure adrenaline/essenceofSteele that is in each prop. Something about the S3&4 make me fly like a bat out of hell. I really like the S line a lot. But as winter came I found Gemfan 51466 & 51433 retain more flexibility in the cold. Also since the Gemfans lack the secret sauce that the Ethix S line does I get a little more flight time with very similar performance. I'm running the Apex HD and Stouts with the FETtec stack on 6S.
