Thank you for pointing out the most probable reason for differences in the accounts. I hadn't thought of that. I was a little disappointed that you didn't address why the accounts were given. They weren't given as a Godhood 101 lesson so that we know how to create planets. The Old Testament makes it abundantly clear that the Isrealites were influenced by their neighbors Greece and Egypt who believed in many gods. The account given by Moses makes it clear that there is only one god who created all things.

Any thoughts on why the new changes revamp the creation to mirror more closely the scriptural accounts? Most notably, they added back in the 2nd day narrative of separating the waters below from the waters above. It makes me wonder if there is ritual symbolism to that particular imagery. The still shots seemed to portray the “waters above” as simply clouds. Any thoughts on that? Have we overly mythologized the ancient account when they were really talking about clouds?

This was a professional video. The Genesis account was likely recorded well before Moses in Ur or Sumer. Genesis 1-4 also contains multiple creation accounts mashed together within it.

Well put together combining such a lot of information in a short few minutes. One point many people miss is that the cosmos in the book of Abraham was about God's prophets as a priesthood hierarchy being called stars in heaven before the creation. Greater stars like Abraham and lesser stars who get their light and knowledge from Christ the greatest light as Kolob. Abraham's seed (Israel) being likened and numbered as the stars in heaven. Not necessarily actual stars but metaphors. Abraham 1 and 3. In Abraham 3 God clearly tells Abraham to teach the Egyptians about Israel's cosmos (Abraham's seed as stars) teach those words (,only) to the Egyptians. Not teach anything about an Egyptian cosmos. This fact in the book gets overlooked by the critics and the apologists. To specify such link UTube ( BOA ep 16 )

I hope you can tackle sometimes about modern prophets like can they also talk with Jesus face to face or can modern prophets saw just like other acient prophets saw in a vision. Can modern prophets communicate with heavenly messenger. Or no they are just relying to Holy Ghost and scriptures to get revelations

I guess I never seriously thought about creaion accounts being ritualistic as well. I always thought of them being a "very good place to start" like Julia Andrews in her song about music. ;) I definitely love the connections to other creation accounts.

Love your videos. In this you stated the temple account of creation varies from the other 3. But, Joseph Smith specifically stated there is a difference in the terms "Earth" and "World". Earth is the planet. World is the people. Next Endowment session, listen carefully. Days 1-3 say WORLDS were created. That's people. I havent figured it out fully, but this distinction makes a huge difference to US as Adams and Eves, respectively. It seems to indicate the Endowment is not fully a creation account...but it is related to the plan of exaltation for US as individuals.

Also, also, stating that the creation accounts are not literal is incorrect. Moses saw EVERY PARTICLE of this earth. Likewise, many other prophets saw the creation as it actually happened. As they also saw future events, as they would happen, in reality. Trying to say God showed them things accourding to their understanding of the cosmos is wrong. He can expound and reveal things as they are. No reason to show some false narrative to prophets, when he can show them the actual events.

I have to diagree with you about them not being literal history. Joseph Smith or for that matter the whole of the ancient israel took these accounts to be literal history. Because youre not from the acoent world your pushing views of modern scholarship on the past.

The Bible is the Word of God, it is God's written Word. Derek Prince says, "The Bible indicates plainly that there is one supreme invisible influence by which God did in fact control, direct, and communicate with the spirits and minds of the men by whom the Bible was written". The invisible influence is the Holy Spirit. God's own spirit". 2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophesy of Scripture is of any private interpretation. The entirety of Your Word is truth. Psalm 119:160 The other books mentioned have never been authenticated, the Word of God should never be changed, The Bible is a sacred book, the book changes lives, your books are contrary to the Bible, the Book of Abraham is a funeral document, it has never been proven by historians or archeologists, the same of the Book of Mormon. God is our Creator, it is everywhere in the bible, the scriptures never lie, it is stunning that you say that God is just an organizer, in God's Word and you will know God is our glorious Creator, Isaiah 40:28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth.
