Why are you speaking of something so sacred when you are not authorized by the church to do so?

“Now the purpose in Himself in the winding up scene of the last dispensation is that all things pertaining to that dispensation should be conducted precisely in accordance with the preceding dispensations…. He set the temple ordinances to be the same forever and ever and set Adam to watch over them, to reveal them from heaven to man, or to send angels to reveal them.” The Prophet Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol.4, p. 208 as quoted in “Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Joseph Smith” Chapter 8

no. if christ was at the center then this church would be doing a lot more to help the poor. this church would also be a lot more forgiving just like christ but all I hear from church leaders is how people are not living the commandments

wow so give up your entire life and give everything you have or will have. And you have the gall to ask other people around the world to do the same, while NOT telling them EVERYTHING so that they can make an informed decision. Converts are never taught everything and presented with all information - this church is a church of lies and a cult. and I am only presenting FACTS here.

Just remember that Brigham Young also taught that Christ did not have the ability to atone for certain sins and that only the offender could atone for his/her sin by spilling their blood. He taught the people to murder their loved ones if they didn't have the courage to spill their own blood, that way the sinner could be clean. This is the same guy who taught the people they could not reach the highest degree of glory unless they were practicing polygamy and that Adam was a polygamist who came here with only one of his wives. Sorry but I just can't believe anything that Brigham Young taught.

I'm not one to judge because I know for a fact that none of you are evil or unrighteous at heart. Let me be clear on that. And this is not an attack, but rather a serious dialogue from someone that was born into the church and served a mission. The difference between the rituals you described and the endowment is that none of what you mentioned are an amalgamation of Masonic and Satanic rituals. The Endowment is and the penalties certainly are. Using symbolic acts of self-harm or execution fosters a culture of fear rather than spiritual enlightenment. The violent imagery can be seen as inconsistent with Christian teachings of love, forgiveness, and grace. In Satanic or occult traditions, rituals involving symbolic harm are often associated with power dynamics, control, or submission, which could parallel these penalties in some interpretations. Secrecy itself is often associated with esotericism and occultism, particularly in traditions like Freemasonry or other groups accused of harboring Satanic influences. This is contradictory to the transparency of Christ's message. The penalties have roots in Freemasonry, an organization often accused-rightly or wrongly-of occult and Satanic ties. The Masonic oaths and penalties similarly involve symbolic punishments for revealing secrets, which some view as antithetical to Christian values of openness and forgiveness. Christianity traditionally emphasizes love, grace, and non-violence. Ritualistic violence or the threat thereof-symbolic or otherwise-can be seen as contradicting the message of the gospel. I would argue that this can be seen as being more manipulative than spiritually edifying.

Here is another facet that ties into what you have explained very well. It is also based on the roles of men and women in mortality and in preparing us for eternity in His kingdom. God shared two of his powers with us based on the unique nature of men and women. 1-He shared the primary power / responsibility of creation of our mortal bodies with Women. To bring life into this world and to care for and nurture with the divinely female attributes of selflessness and sacrifice. 2- He shared his power / authority of governance ( presiding in the home) and adminstration (authority and organization of the church) with the responsibility to righteously nurture and serve his children. If we can see and understand these two critical and equal roles of women and men, we can see see how we all are given the opportunity to refine ourselves and increase our Eternal traits and characteristics. In doing so we become more like our Heavenly parents and our Savior. There are a lot of things that happened in the pre-existance that we have memory of here in mortality. So our mortal perspective is very limited. I have full faith that we will fully understand how and why things happen here, and we will be very OK with it. He will heal us of all our brokeness if we choose to let him.

In the New Testament, all believers, men, women, children, and even black people have been priests now for 2,000 years. It is not a position in a church. It is who we are in Christ. God himself has made us priests. I Peter 2:5, 9 Revelation 1:6; 5:10 The true and living God never banned black people from the priesthood from the 1840s until 1978. God is not racist.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is the name to say we are not Christian is to deny who we are either through malice or ignorance.
@JulioHendricks-r8nАй бұрын
@Leondragon06 neither malice nor ignorance. You use these words to solicit a response because of how my words and how they made you feel. Mormons are not Christian. They do not believe in the same God, they do not believe in the same Christ. Your God is foreign to us, your Christ is foreign to us.
@JulioHendricks-r8nАй бұрын
@Leondragon06 it's neither ignorance or malice Leon, it is based on what I have read in my own copy of the Book of Mormon, and what it says in the scripture.... simple as that. You can call yourselves Christians all you want, but it's not true. Your Christ comes from a god that is still flesh and Bone and was born on another planet to human-like parents, and then exalted in his flesh by his God, given his same power, to make his own world with his own people. That is not the God of the Bible. Your God gains his omnipresence through his Planet which the book of Moses says is a world of fire and glass. This planet serves as a giant Urim and Thummim. My God doesn't need a planet to have the power of omnipresence, because he's not compensating for a body that is flesh and Bone. Savvy? So to say that I'm ignorant of your religion and its inner workings is egregiously false. Your rites, rituals, and ceremonies as a good example, were taken from the Freemasons. The founding members of the church admit to this in several places. Your endowment Ceremonies is a symbolic washing and anointing where are the recipient receives a new name. The clothing is similar to that of the Freemasons used in these rites, ceremonies, and rituals that the LDS church practices and Secret. Their symbols, most especially in the infancy of the Mormon faith we're also taken from Freemasonry. Then there's the secret handshakes in code words.... up until the 1990s, the Mormons used to take a Blood Oath, and swear that they will slit their own throats and spill their own guts if they tell anyone what goes on in these ceremonies and rituals... which is exactly what the Freemasons expect to keep their secrets doing the exact same thing! Then you have something called the ritual arm raising in which many of us have had the unexpected sneak peek things to one brave soul; during this ceremony the partitioner conducting this strange ritual said that if there be anyone in this circle that holds any ill-will against another in this circle, please step out of the circle so God will be able to fully manifest His blessings. What makes this more strange is the implications of the limits of God's power. If someone in the circle is angry, the Mormon God would not be able to fully manifest His blessings... See, my God; the Creator and the I AM, has no limits. Your god does. My God is the only true God and you as a Mormon stand in falsehood with your eyes, in falsehood with your tongue, in falsehood with your hands. How? Because you have set aside the true law which can only be manifest and come from one place, and that is the Christ of the Holy Bible. Still don't believe me? Let me show you something about your Celestial progression; in the book of Isaiah 14:12- 14 says this - "how you are fallen from Heaven o Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who have weakened the Nations! For you have said in your heart: I will Ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the Mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the North; I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High." Mormons believe in a premortal existence as a Celestial child or spirit being. They too are descended and given bodies of mortal flesh. Mormons believe they will ascend to finally be exalted by their God who will then make them a god, gifting them with the same powers of creation which would allow them to create their own heaven and on Earth which is parallel with I will exalt my throne above the stars of God semicolon I will also sit on the amount of the congregation... the balance of the congregation is Zion, but you Mormons believe in a different Zion which is separate from the Bible. So for Satan to say that he will sit on the Mount of the congregation has to be Traverse from the description given in the Bible because the only one that can sit there is Christ himself.... unless of course there existed a false Zion. I will Ascend above that of the clouds, I will be like the most high. Everything of this verse sounds awfully similar to the fall of Lucifer in the process that you guys have to go through, and what your promised at the end which is a throne of your own making, in your own heaven, to rule over your own congregation which is comprised of your spirit children, where they like you Mormons now with your God, play your God that above the Bible. A man by the name of Thomas Carlyle attended one of these gatherings that was headed by Joseph Smith, and he had this to say about what he witnessed; " the great man was always like lightning Out of Heaven, men waiting at rest as fuel, so they too would Flame." Why would a noted Catholic historian use these words to describe Joseph Smith? Doesn't it say in Luke 10:18, that Jesus beheld Satan as lightning fall from Heaven?? It's such a strange description that I don't even have to look up the quote by this man because it is burned into my memory. Another connection to Satan is of course your God being of Flesh and Bone. I was a Satanist once, and they, just like all witchcraft, articulate the metaphysical by means of the physical. Your church has separated God, the holy ghost, and Jesus into three separate beings. It says it right here on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints website and I will read it to you verbatim; "like many christians, we believe in God the father, his son Jesus christ, and the holy spirit. However, we do not believe in the traditional concept of the trinity. We believe that the father, the son, and the holy ghost, are three separate beings who are in one purpose." The church's first article of faith states, we believe in god, the Eternal father, and his son, Jesus christ, and in the Holy Ghost," we believe that they are three distinct personages, not One Singular being. We call them the godhead" The example that you guys use to justify this point of view is Matthew 3:16-17. I can tear your entire religion apart with just this, "and jesus, when he was baptized, went up straight away out of the water calling and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove, and lightning upon him: and lo, a voice from heaven saying, this is my beloved son, in WHOM I am well pleased." Since when is any singular person addressed as "whom". There is a trifecta that exists in everything in both Theology and nature which draws us to three simple words; Holy Holy Holy. Even humans are a trifecta; we have a spirit, not to be confused with a soul which is the second part, and then we have our bodies. It's something you Mormons will never get because you're stuck on stupid

These are the words of the Savior. How have all of you made this work?

It is sad what has become are the Gospel of Jesus Christ after the death of Joseph Smith. The main purpose of the church is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ but not to change it. 3rd Nephi chapter 11 verse 40 read it. D&C section 22 the last Covenant is baptism. D&C section 128 Verse 18 welding link that binds us together is baptism. 3rd Nephi chapter 27 versus 20 - 21 Jesus Christ tells us again what is Gospel is and what we need to do because we have seen Jesus Christ do it. Jesus Christ was baptized to fulfill all righteousness where does it say that he was endowed or married in the temple? If you believe the fullness of the Gospel was restored to Joseph Smith and it's containing our scriptures tell me why there's no mention of the temple endowment as you know it and Temple marriage. How the endowment is preached now is that it's essential for exaltation along with temple marriage. Exaltation is made up word only found in section 132 dealing with polygamy which was read to the church for the first time in 1852 and put in the scripture in 1876. The law on Eternal Marriage in section 131 is entirely made up. Go to Joseph Smith papers and type in history of the doctrine covenants and go to section 141. You will see that it was made up by William Clayton in his journals. The church has added to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stands on a Sandy Foundation. Also by the way in your video you mentioned the 4th Article of Faith. Go look at how it originally read, these ordinances are. There was no first the church changed it to read first principles and ordinances so they can add a second ordinance and third. Which completely changed the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If it wasn't in our scriptures at the time of Joseph Smith's death and you didn't see Jesus Christ do it. And if you believe that Jesus Christ is an Exemplar and that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ why in the world would you be doing it. Especially when Jesus Christ says not to do it and your lineage of prophets after Joseph Smith we're not called to be a prophet like Joseph Smith and in harmony with Doctrine covenants section 43. Which warns us again that if we don't follow God's command on how a prophet is called we will be deceived read it. Please read study and pray follow the Holy Ghost and the words of Jesus Christ so you don't go astray. May God bless and keep you all safe

I am days away from going to the Winnipeg Temple again ( been trying to go monthly) to particpate in the baptisms and sealings as I worked towards my own Endowment. Some unavoidable delays physical in nature but I will have completed it very soon (Lord Willing). Much delayed but as I have been active and in full participation with the ordinances, well as much as I can manage in my Fallible human condition anyway, I have felt the spirit confirm this is my path. I am where I need to be. I know what I am agreeing to in the manner of my covenant. I know the outline of what is promised as I keep my word. I feel a bit nervous, a bit uncertain as to the unknown details of the ceremony but excited and anticipating the experience. Much like with some new book or music concert or general conferenc wondering what new things will I learn or have emphasized to me. I don't want spoilers as I want to learn the approved way and manner prescribed to get the most from my first time. Even before going for myself I have been looking at names on my family tree in anticipation of the Temple work I can be blessed to offer myself as a vessel for the Lord to use. I have chosen people that have significant meaning in my life and faith journey to witness and lead me through the events. I feel that spirit from the temple even after I leave being glad to do as much as possible given physical limits to forward the work. I also want to say seeing podcasts and topic investigation by members have strengthened my testimony. That which I don't know or don't know yetnI accept that I will learn when and if needed at the time I need to know. Mind and spirit are excited to go. I am certain this experience will be wonderful for me. I will be continuing my prayer to be ready for my covenant and the path forward. What a wonderful time to be alive. To have the standard works available in the palm of my hand without the inconvenience of a large library dragging around is great too. 😅😅 So much to learn and study. My inner nerd is very satisfied. I will drop back to let you know my impressions upon completion of my endowment. Thank you for your work via these videos.
