Asalamu alaikum sis, i understand exactly what you said about constantly trying to be a role model and having th of duty to convey the message of Islam to our families. As a revert, i feel a heavy duty on many of my family members, however liked you said its Allah swt that guides. Like Dr Zakir said "if someone ask me to consider Shri Krishna as a prophet of God, i would say may be he was or may be wasn't" . All of these 124,000 prophets called people to worship one God . All of the religions were right in the time of their prophets , and after their death people changed their religion. So the right religion is the religion which says to worship one God and to believe all of these prophets, angels and the scriptures. And islam says that. Salam Sister, thanks for the great content. May Allah reward you for this. You asked what would convince your brother Ben that Islam is true I think. So I would mention 2 rare proofs (I mean proofs are many but those 2 I've not seen cited anywhere before recently). First, blogging theology channel has reported that some scientists have processed the speech in the Quran and the one of the Prophet (pbuh) from its authentic hadiths. They have a computer program that can identify a single author behind a corpus of its speeches with great accuracy. Then the result was that the Quran is not from Muhammad (pbuh). That's another unique author with its own proper style... Then second point, weaker because it's me that noticed that the Prophet (pbuh) didn't decide to get vinegar destroyed along with wine when alcohol has been declared prohibited for the first time. But even today, many people that know not chemistry still think that vinegar may be alcoholic because it derives from alcohol. So our beloved Prophet (pbuh) expert in chemistry? Or rather inspired by one Expert ? I leave you ask Ben what his guess.

Hi Rebecca, I'm not too sure if you have looked into the evidence of the death of Jesus Christ. His death is not only mentioned on numerous occasions in the bible but also in early 1st century secular writings by the likes of Phlegon, Mara Bar-Serapan and Tacitus. Muslims believe Jesus didn't die on the cross which would be inconsistent with the body of literature that is out there. I was was wondering what your thoughts are on that?

Answer to your question if islam is the true religion you need to verify the authenticity of the Quran, it was preserved orally as well in manuscript and there's only one version. Also are there any contradictions in the Quran. Note: there's a u tube video describing the structure of the Quran called the Ring composition in the Quran, its mind blowing, demonstrate the author of the Quran could only be a Creator of the heaven and earth). Also study the life of our prophet Mohammed pbuh (his character was he a liar, credible etc) his prophecy how did he predict so many things and reveal things like the description of the embryo, all the scientific fic miracles if it wasn't from the from the creator.

Well, if there is a God and he sent the final messenger resulting with some people follow him and some do not and He promised to punish those who did not follow and deny His final messenger and reward those who follow, its not us who is telling you, its God... We are just an extension of what the Prophet taught. There is no compulsion in religion, but this is what the message is. Not denying that being a good person is good, but a good person who follows the Prophet/Messenger of God and a good person who deny the Prophet of God and made up his own religion or belief system is not good in the eyes of God. So the key here is to find out if Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is really the Last Prophet sent by God. Study him. Allah could have preserved the past scriptures from corruption as well just like the Holy Quran, however it was Gods plan to not preserve them as they were timed revelation for a certain time and people; when Allah wanted to send newer commands he would send another prophet with updated revelations and commands so people must accept and follow the revealed law of the time and believe in all previous prophets and revealations, but only practice the laws that were revelaed for that time.

Think about it. Almighty God sent over 100 thousands messages over time. If you understand the true essence of Hinduism for example there is only one God who they call Brahma that is the absolute. Only Brahma was supposed to be worshipped as the one it is only later Hinduism become a polytheist religion and become corrupted.
