🎉 My answers to your title question: 1) Because bigger cities in Thailand are hospitable to KZbinrs and also to those folks who are also digital nomads. 2) Because Thais are friendly. 3) Because Thailand has fantastic food! 4) Because Thailand IS happening and popular right now. 5) Because big cities in Thailand can house itinerant nomads relatively cheaply and yet do so in areas that are walkable and close to cool , necessary stuff (food, entertainment, medical facilities, etc.). 6) Because English is widely spoken in big Thai cities and places where Digi Nomads congregate. 7) Because Thailand has air conditioned cafes where Digi Nomads can work, socialise and meet cool new people too, yay! 8) Rhett and Claire I can recommend. They are darling.

As a Thai, here is the tips to bargain the TukTuk , first check your destination with Google map to see how long it takes to, the price should be 15 minutes for 60-100 Baht , 30 minutes for 120-200 Baht, the cheaper choice is taking the taxi car or grab taxi
Appreciate of mine when you both come back to visit Thailand again. Enjoy your trip in Thailand. 😊😊😊😊😊😊

You're right; there are way too many mediocre KZbinrs in Thailand. But coming along and visiting the same old places that all of them have already visited is not the solution.

I don't know why anyone would catch a noisy, smelly tuk tuk when they can get an air conditioned taxi, bolt or grab for the same price or maybe cheaper.
. Thailand does have a saturation of useless You Tubers. Good thing is a few know that they're doing and worth watching.

And they're all making the same shit content. I mean, what is the added value of 10.000 youtubers filming the exact same shit: eating insects on a night market, getting toasties from 7/11, riding at the back of grab bikes, being scammed in dodgy strip clubs. I mean, this pile of similar content adds no value to society at all.

Most dramatise the mundane in a desperate attempt to make some coin. It's easy to stay in Thailand and it attracts those without the full ability to fund themselves. Carry on Grifting

As a Thai, I really think that Grand Place's rules of dressing code is ridiculously strict for visitors. It's a major tourist attraction for this tropical country. I can't comprehend why conservative authorities made it such a big deal!!😅
@chanyajaranyanonta1818 Жыл бұрын
There is dress code in some places that we have to respect the owners. Will you go to the White House, Buckingham Palace and others wearing T-shirt and shorts?
@bakabon114 Жыл бұрын
@@chanyajaranyanonta1818 You really have no clues about you said. Actually, many tourists with casual clothes always took photo in front of White House's fence and I've been there. Last month, I just visited Amalienborg palace in Denmark and many tourists weared short pants visiting without any hassles for entering. Believe me, the required dress code at BKK Grand Palace is insanely strict more than any other palaces I have visited. And it's totally nonsensical that tourists have to wear such a covered shirt and trousers in our hot and humid weather🤣

Wrong answer and down grade Thai hospitality and its ppl. That is your opinion & I don't think ppl who travel to Thailand have the same idea as you are. What RICH country are you coming from? Travelling is NOT always about the $$$, it is about many things combine. Westerners cares more about material things and measure success in life based that instead of how happy they really are. They are missing the point and I think that how Thais live their lives, take thing every day as it comes & peaceful (Sabai Sabai). You should try Brutan and you will learn that they are poor in material things but RICH with its cultures, environment and ppl (quality ppl with good heart). They limited number of traveler (kindda ppl like you), because they want to preserve their environment, culture and way of life (way of thinking).

@@keangwooichoo6138 the money that you have is just paper or digits on the screen. When the next big war breaks out (oh it will!) and countries safeguard supplies for their own peeps, let's see if you can get full on your "wealth". Don't get carried away, my child. Be on good terms w/ your neighbours. Plus, what's the deal with a fabulous rich girl like Singapore stooping to exhibit her sore jealousy towards a "dirt-poor farmgirl" like Thailand? It's not what it's cracked up to be down there, is it? When I was there, I asked a local for a simple direction. She acted like 5 seconds was being robbed off her and that was 19 years ago! Don't want to imagine what it's like now😵💫 For the sake of authenticity, honestly, that island nation should switch her name to "Tunnel Vision". After fighting tooth and nail for digits on the screen, you next, I heard, have to compete for a mere seat at the food court. In Thai, we call that "ปากกัดตีนถีบ" (Pak Gud Tean Teap). Literal translation: Mouth Bites. Foot "Front Kicks/Pushes". For the latter, check out Muay Thai :-)

Your comment could partially right. But IMHO, if low cost of living attracts these youtubers, they can go some place which require less money, e.g. Laos, Cambodia. Why are they mostly here?
@philip5899 Жыл бұрын
Because a nobody can be a somebody there 😂
@VintageThaiLadyBoy Жыл бұрын
Not really. I think most KZbinrs know already that their subs and views aren't gonna soar covering Thailand. 1. They're competing for outside eyeballs from a really crowded space. 2. There's little local market to bait. We Thais don't speak English and even if we did, we already see tourists upon tourists roaming our streets. In other words, we won't fall for exploitative online flattey saying things like "we're better than our neighbours" etc.. So, from a content creator pov, Thailland can be hopeless place. But then, Thailand is also a global brand a lot of people want to experience primarily for themselves. In the specific case of Lloyd & Mandy, they're already somebody and seemed to like their previous visit here a lot! Go binge on their Thailand videos from last year 😘
