A man who loves his speakers. That's the sort of man us audiophiles are looking for, that serious connoisseur of sound.

There is something about higher sound quality that is very satisfying. I wish I had people in my life that knew more about it so I could learn more about it but I'm going down the rabbit hole slowly on my own. I could see how it could get very addictive and very expensive 😂
@31cify29 күн бұрын
Agreed. Even just two channel stereo speakers can create immersive sound when watching DVDs and Blu rays, especially those with a 5.1 audio track. I have no problem using Bluetooth for this these days, it's tremendous quality, and I do use high end Bluetooth receivers, not cheap plastic ones. It competes with wires all day long.

Did You made sure that the pebble were getting the right power of 30W with gain set to high? a standard USB port from the back of a computer doesnt usually supply that kind of power, some do but not all
@TheSAHDLifeАй бұрын
Good point. I didn't. Since they sounded so similar to my other speakers (which ARE plugged in) I didn't even consider this. I'll update the notes if it makes any difference 👊

@@TheSAHDLife It makes a BIG Difference - at an USB Hub, even if its an USB 3 like you have - it cant get enough Power. Put em on en native USB-C Port on your Mainboard and you will see what they can do. But to be clear, they will sound a bit better, especially they get more Depth - but its nothing near the MR4 xD Thats obvious even through the Size of these Goldies. :P

Hello, have you noticed a humming noise in the speakers mr4 when they are on without making any sound? I bought one yesterday and they sound very good but when I don't play music or play games it sounds like a constant blowing or zumbing from spekers and i dont know if i have to return. Thanks :)
@TheSAHDLife4 күн бұрын
Ok... yes mine do have a quiet static noise coming off them but I can't hear it when I am sitting at my desk. It's only really noticeable when I get close to them but it is there. I believe that sound is from something called 'ground loop'. If you Google 'how to get rid of ground loop speakers' it will explain why it happens and what to do about it. Mildly annoying I know but it just happens with speakers like this. They sound good otherwise though right?!
@juanvalenzuela36344 күн бұрын
@@TheSAHDLife Thanks for answering :), I've done a little research on what you told me and I've bought a Ground Loop Isolator on Amazon to see if that solves the problem. If not, maybe I'll get another model or return them. It makes me very sad because they sound very good. jajaja I have them at the same distance as you and I can hear them a little. I must have a very fine hearing jajaja
@TheSAHDLife4 күн бұрын
@@juanvalenzuela3634 Oh I get it. I hate little noises. I just had to return a power supply on my computer because it was whining louder than I thought it should. Maybe that's why i couldn't hear the speakers lol. Let me know if the Ground Loop Isolotor works, I am very curious!
@juanvalenzuela36344 күн бұрын
@@TheSAHDLife Of course, as soon as I try it, I'll let you know. I hope it works and reduce the sound or remove it :) Jajaja I'm the same, I don't like noises while I'm playing or browsing internet. I didn't notice it until I was browsing when I realized that there was a small buzz and it was the speakers.

@@TheSAHDLife Hey unfortunately it hasn't worked. It must be a power issue or something or maybe they are defective, I don't know, I'm going to have to think about returning them. And how do the Logitech z207 sound compared to the Edifier? In the video they don't sound bad at all.
@arondyte3183 ай бұрын
Edifier is the GOAT of budget speakers. Just bought their G2000s and added in an optional Edifier T5 Subwoofer for thundering bass and I now have a music/cinema set-up at my workstation 😂

Those Edifiers have a much fuller sound (to my old ears, anyway). I'm listening through my TEAC bookshelf speakers, which have decent woofers and tweaters.
@TheSAHDLife3 ай бұрын
While I haven't listened to TEAC speakers I've listened to enough similar sized ones and I honestly can't believe how good these Edifier speakers sound! Although, I don't know if I would have appreciated them as much if I didn't have the Pebble's right next to them? Just... for the price I am incredibly impressed. Sometimes you don't realize music sounds so good until you actually hear it!

Totally, my ancient giant ass behringer b2031a absolutely destroy a set of Apple HomePods at a fraction of the price, it’s not even close. Unfortunately size makes the biggest difference. Even a set of 30 year old $25 speakers will obliterate anything modern, even the most expensive stuff available if it’s in a small foot print.
@TheSAHDLife3 ай бұрын
Those 2031's look sweet! It's crazy that they still rip. Speakers are just that one technology where I feel like we're waiting for some sort of breakthrough but it just never comes. They come in some pretty slick form factors now I suppose. I really do enjoy my Sonos throughout the house and how well they work together. They sound solid but it's the app that makes it fantastic. But yeah as far as the pebble speakers go I was just surprised that they're so popular. I couldn't really see a good reason why...

The hype of the pebbles is the value for money... which hasn't being beaten yet...
@TheSAHDLife2 ай бұрын
Yeah perhaps in the states the value seems a little bit better compared to the price in Canada. I think the fact that I had so many speakers to compare it to made them not shine as bright as they would if I went from just a laptop to those speakers.
@therealjoejennings2 ай бұрын
I think these are the right speakers if you’re going for usb powered models.
@TheSAHDLife2 ай бұрын
Yeah if that is a hard limitation you might be right. A little extra power just makes such a difference for me I don't care how clean it looks! 😆
@Pirate85getreadyАй бұрын
Please use them at an USB C Port and not at an USB 3.0 Hub where they can not even can draw the Power they need - the High Gain Switch doesnt do anything there cuz where is no Power, it cant be drawn. 😛 And then comparing thos lil 2" Speakers against 4" Speakers WITH Tweeters - thats like comparing an Audi Vs. an Chevrolet. ;-)
@TheSAHDLife29 күн бұрын
Oh yeah it's not a fair competition at all but I had them all there so I figured I might as well! And yeah good call with the power. Wifey has them plugged in but if I get a chance to try it out again I will.

@@TheSAHDLife thx for your reply - most creators would have ignored it. You earned my Sub for that, very appreciated! :-) Well, theyre not very good - you know, i know. But as Laptop Replacement Speakers theyre awesome if this Laptop have an USB-C Port where they can draw their Power from. My 11 Yr old Daughter have em on her Chromebook and loves em. Thats what theyre for i guess... I myself for Example have the "Pro" on my Desktop (not enough Space for a good Deskspeaker like KRK GoAux 3 which ive on my Workspace in Company) with PD Power in and via AUX connected to an Fosi DS1 Interface - without even the "Pro" sound like Crap. Dont know what Creative thought about the Pro... the V3 have an "High Gain" Switch which is physically there... the "Pro" have this "automatically" which means: Software... use em on Windoof (German for Winstupid :-P ) and they work fine if you put PD Power in, do that on Linux... well... they recognise the PD Power for 1sec and then switch back to normal Mode... without using the extra Source of Power from the PD. Thats why ive to use them with AUX and PD Power only (on the Pro you can take off the PC Connection Cable, its just another USB-C Cable/Port) to bypass this issue. Keep up, i like your Vids.

@TheSAHDLifeАй бұрын
It's true lol. But sometimes there's a price point where sounds quality doesn't necessarily increase but features do... Like with my Sonos. The pebble speakers reviewed so well I thought maybe they were just on another level when it comes to sound quality and maybe just lacked features. I think those Edifiers are good examples of a price point where anything above you don't get huge gains when you spend more.
