As someone who's a young Pistons fan, I still argue to this day. If the fans never incited the incident that was the Malice at the palace, the pacers would have won the 2005 NBA championship with ease.

Ron Artest is an adult and he deserved every bit of flack he got. He started some shit on the court and didn't want anything to do with Ben Wallace. Yes, fans should not be throwing anything but Ron Artest deserves as much of the blame as anyone. You don't lay down on the scorer's table when you're the away team and you don't run into the stands no matter what.

​@@mandu6665Perfectly said there is no excuse for the unprofessionalism he showed that day by choosing to run up the bleachers and get in a fight, what makes the situation even worse is he barely even got any punishment for his actions, his teammates who chose to back him up and defend him in the life threatening moment were punished harshly and their careers were ruined. Look at it this way only 3 people from that pacers team won a championship after that game and one of them was Ron.

Ron Artest is one of the best defensive players ever, I’d say he’s easily top 10. He was a star stopper even in his later years with the Lakers, an old Ron gave KD and Melo trouble in the playoffs on the defensive end

Every single time the Malice at the Palace comes up, I'm reminded of a particular scene from that night that forever lives rent free in my head. The cameras cut to the refs and Palace staff trying to maintain order and aid in the effort to remove the fans on the floor. It centers on one fan in a Grey shirt, if memory serves correct, when you suddenly see Jermaine O'Neal slide in with this like sliding haymaker punch and just floors the fan. It really is burned in my mind forever. That was a wild night.

Dwight his time in the NBA was forever cemented but he made a lot of very unusual statements that did cause him to fall off after the 2013 Lakers situation. Even after he sounded too desperate and attention seeker to be part of any NBA team he made it too noticeable it got annoying.

Most of these players were not blacklisted. They had success in the league for many years.Dwight Howard played 16 years in the league. The reason they were not getting signed is because they became too old. You make it seem like their careers were a failure. After the malice in the palace, Ron had a long career, and helped the Lakers win a championship. So I do not consider that blacklisted.
