I wore them back in high school 2006 here in Norway. Only hot for a year. We wore them with camo cargo pants, and studded belts. Even pajamas pants in winter with a bomber jacket with real fox fur trim. Only difference, mines had this flap over the laces with a velcro strap. Love them! Wore them all year round. They had these driving ones and the boxer type ones which was higher up on the leg so more for the ladies.

this is the shoe that non sneakerheads used to wear back in the day with their Euro fits. And venues would let you in if you wore these and not Timberlands or Air Forces or jordans because well who tended to wear those other shoes was us Black people. Fashion used to fall dramatically along color lines in past eras, which made discriminating on attire easy at venues. they would literally just name brands or models that got you blocked at the door making it easy for racial discrimination or sometimes say outright sneakers were banned but these always got exception for reasons named. Why is is important or even a matter? This shoe reminds me of that. For me it has a negative legacy due to my personal association. Weird to see it make a resurgence and especially in the "sneaker community" because this was the ultimate i'm a fashion snob but i make exceptions for one sneaker type shoe.

These speedcat OG's are also populair in martial artist and tai chi because of the low profile so you really feel the floor. They have the sparco version of it but those are not cool at all with a car advertisement on your sneaker. Like yo look art me with my bmw douchebag apparel. The OG's are the coolest looking sneakers ever. but they are not made for walking for longer periods.

I think that depends on your feet and what you find comfortable. They are driving shoes so not really meant to walk around in all day long. They were hot for a year here in Norway and I wore my pair through all the seasons, even in winter with snow and ice and rain in the fall when I was in high school 2006. I don’t remember them to be much uncomfortable either and my feet are quite flat. Loved them!

Surely not comfortable? Ive worn sparco race shoes before. No support, no cushioning, nothing. Feel everything through the shoe. Good for racing not for walking
