I feel like this set will be similar to baldurs Gate and new capenna where people hated the sets at first only to figure out a year or so later that there were actual bombs they overlooked. Also after opening a booster box of this set I got from an Amazon sale for like $50 it’s a bummer opening the same 10 cards over and over 😂

The issue with modern Magic sets is that - if I made a rough guess - 90-95% of every set is just bulk. You have like 5-10 Rares/Mythics worth more than a couple bucks, but most other cards are worthless. I'd love to spend more on Magic Boxes, but if the value isn't there then what is the point? Aftermath solidified their desire to make money without putting in actual work for the products.

It's a cool idea, just poorly marketed and executed. Apparently they are doing a small mini similar thing with assassin's Creed? Beyond boosters they're called. I did pull a foil showcase tyvar in a pack and it's cool as hell. It has good cards. I think they should have had cards like the one with Karn holding norns head in this set so you could actually see the story unfold. Either way, you got your money back!

I would buy ONE collector box for 80€ but here in europe it's currently 118€ + shipping at the cheapest and since all but only a few cards are so cheap to get, it's better to just buy singles. At 80€ I'd maybe open for fun but even if you pull the top 4 mythics you might STILL not break even and who is going to buy two of these?
