Why Are These Students Photographing Trash?

Boston University’s new Center for Computing and Data Sciences is already one of the greenest buildings in New England. If all goes to plan, it will soon receive a zero-waste certification, which requires diverting 90 percent of its waste away from landfills. One key component? Documenting what, exactly, building occupants are putting in the trash bins.
