There's places homeless vets can go to for shelter. Many of them choose not to. I know. I was a homeless veteran for several years. I finally decided to get out of the field and go get help and shelter. Now I have had my own nice place for over 2 years. Before that, I was staying in a veterans village rent free for 2 years and they helped me get a nice apartment and paid my first month rent and deposit. It's a lifestyle choice. Help is available if the veterans want it.

I paid mine back in full and on time and so should they.

I reside in the USA for 20 years and I paid off all and a BS degree out of pocket until they trapped me into an MS loan. I always had two jobs until I got very sick after the 4th COVID shot. I hope that I collect myself and pay off the loan. Then one day, get out of this exploitation for good. I don't know what else is waiting for me in my seniors years without any savings. Don't come to America, if you are over 30 years old. It's harder to build a foundation all over again in a capitalistic society.

What people don't talk about is that student loans encompass more than just tuition. Student loans provide housing and meal funding, which is grossly excessive. Many people use it for down payments on cars, partying every weekend, taking vacations, doing" study abroad ", and other things that ordinary tax paying workers will never have an opportunity to do because they can't afford it. Can't afford it. But hey, they should have to pay for the person who signed the loan and got to experience what they never will.

In reality USA state and community colleges should be tuition-free for anybody to go to college. They need to stop all this BS with taking out student loans. In Europe college is tuition free so why not the USA? The only colleges in the USA that should cost tuition are private Ivy League colleges since they are PRIVATE and not owned by the state. Hopefully this new idea of making the taxpayers pay for these bums tuition gets shut down, that is BS when so many like myself could not afford college so we didn't go.

A consistent deans lister My son graduated cum laude a five year course mech engineering at the Howard Hughes College of Engineering University of Nevada Las Vegas. He claims he’s not intelligent but really hard working. Paid for it thru grants and worked part time in his senior year. Months before graduation an engineering company in Vegas hired him as a project manager. He’s a very responsible young man and not a burden to us taxpayers. I work as a janitor and my stay at home wife is a cancer survivor.

Biden admin just forgave my wife's six figure student loan debt from the 1990s. The loans were particularly predatory. Thanks, but still voting Trump unless Keanu Reeves decides to run.
